Snark apart - the content was MIA from the start in this show. There is nothing all that new in it. Same Saas tries to torture bahu crap👎🏼 And if one has to watch saas-bahu then there are way better products including Diya Aur Baati.

Now where did you read that the 'ONLY' problem was the former Manav? You clearly need to read properly. We never said he was the ONLY problem. An actor alone cannot be held responsible for low TRPs. Many factors play a role in bringing the show down. With Chhanchhan, the story was main one, the direction, lack of chemistry between the leads and the male lead. He was one of them and now that he's gone, many people have started watching the show because we have a really good ML who can ACT and has awesome chemistry with Sanaya. That doesn't mean the show is perfect all of a sudden. The story has picked up but if people want to believe the show is crap, there's nothing much we can say that will change their minds.

if saas bahu shows have the same story then i dont think the romantic shows nowadayz carry sunthing different..as we all know sanaya was offered so many romantic shows...she must had not found sumthing new in them thats why she took up chhanchhan.ya i have also watched matae jaan and humsafar, its usual in every show like wedding, saas etc even humsafar also had saas-bahu saga but the execution was superb. i think the main problem is the execution and direction of the show...the saas-bahu shows that r going on in other channels also dont carry new concepts

God knows how they r getting such a high trp🤔

I hear that there are plenty of shows on Indian TV... all genres.
That means plenty to choose from.
I want to see Sanaya. Sanaya is in Chhanchhan. I watch Chhanchhan. If her show makes it fine, if it doesn't that's fine too. I will wait for her next show. She entertains me and that is all I care about.
Anyway, there was another thread that said that Sony is soon bowing out of the TRP ranking.

Everytime I visited this forum to even read the WU...I read post after post about how FK did not measure upto Princess Sanaya... Guess you missed those lovely posts cribbing solely about him and how TRPs would improve now that he was gone. But, like you yourself say - "an actor alone cannot be responsible for low TRPs"... but, woe to anyone who stated as much when it came to FK or gave him BOD. They were ridiculed and driven from this forum..

But, am glad to see now that Sanaya fans favorite scrape goat is gone... you all are finally waking up and smelling the coffee.

I like Anuj and he is good, so I wish the show well. It needs major overhaul though. Sanaya fans who go on and on about how much they love her... and how great she is...obviously don't watch even now.

Like Princess said If its a journey for CC and Manavs role has to be prominent it could work lets see how long they rushed through the love story etc needed time to dev but If its just sas bahu
sanaya audience will not accept it again its my view point with chan man dominating and cvs building a strong story it can become a path breaker lets see how destiny plays out...

well that is what it WILL be! for that reason, to make this a Journey of a young girl instead of a saas bahu show, 1st time on TV on this roti making saas bahu stories we have a love marriage happening (don't touch Ekta era, it was a different ball game then, but i am talking about years after 2008)

thus this is not just a clash of 2 generations..
see CC's life's purpose cannot remain defearing UB. her life's purpose is a happy marriage life. This is the story. For that to happen the clash has to happen n she has to overcome the obstacles.
watch it from that perspective..

remember a single show that is going totally OTT saas bahu like SNS,DABH that had a love story that made it possible for the M&F leads of the show to have a relationship that was independent of the adults?
this is a first in history and I for one am actually beginning to enjoy the story..

for me UB might be borderline fanatic and a little too black.. but the rest if actually quite realistic!

cz just take yesterday, what CC did when confronted with a trouble was YT! cz for me too no matter what i want my first stops would be googleji, howstuffworks.com and YT!
truly whether to find out how the new makeup brush strokes needs to be applied for best effect to how to fix a bug on my phone OS, everything i use like this..

so this story is reality, at least most of the time..

and i would like if this happens for another 1.5-2 years time till it comes to a natural end..

Taking Monday's gazebo romance scene for example, there were a group of fans to trash the scene because in reality they couldn't see Sanaya romancing someone else so maybe this show will give that break she wanted to give for some people to get over things and come to terms.

But yes im a youth and i love romance so ofcourse by choice i would have loved her to do a love story but i do respect and understand her decision to take this venture.

ditto!! exactly this is where I am standing too!

Also, after reading your 2nd comment, it furtherlooks like you want Sanaya to do intense love story ONLY.
I, personally would like it if Sanaya would do a "Vesper Lynd" character.
However, it is upto Sanaya to select from what is being offered to her and what she likes.
I think others have already said a lot of what I was thinking so I won't mention it.
The show has a sweet romance between Chhanchhan & Manav; it is not intense but it is there. He loves her for who she is. She loves him regardless of whose son he is and has embraced a houselhold that is out of her element and is happy to adjust. Let's see what happens.
Everybody should enjoy this show for what it is supposed to be. In the desire for intense love story one will miss the beautiful love that is there.
There is a reality about this show...one just may learn a thing or two.

beautifully said!! the last lines really touched me..😳

I'm actually not interested in analysing TRPs ... my main crib with the show WAS the male lead ... now that he has gone and we have a decent actor in his place, I am happy to watch Chhanchhan as long as it's on air. As someone else said ... I love watching Sanaya on screen, she is in Chhanchhan, so I will watch Chhanchhan.

It helps that CC is a show I can relate to in many aspects ... except for the overly wicked MIL, the rest is all very realistic as of now ... Chhanchhan's first day in her new home, not knowing what is expected of her, trying her best not to make mistakes and conform to the rules of the house ... any new bride, especially one who has got married after a rocky ride, will do the same.

My other cribs were execution and direction, those aspects have picked up as well ... and I am enjoying the show now. There are loopholes and flaws, as in any show ... but they provide good discussion points and we have had some good discussions on the forum on a few topics like dowry, eco-friendly weddings and the like. Even the roti makers came up for discussion! And as sunara said, googling for information on things like tying sarees is SO very realistic ... I hope they show CC googling for recipes online as well in the near future!!!

So I will leave the TRPs headache to the channel and the makers ... if they are interested in feedback, our discussions here will provide it. People going on about whether FK was responsible for low TRPs or Sanaya was, and making snide remarks, is not of much help ... we cribbed about FK, he's gone ... thank you, CV's and channel, thank you very much!!!

And yes, again I can say that FK leaving the show has made a HUGE difference to my enjoyment of the show ... I would have continued watching it for Sanaya anyway ... but Anuj as Manav is so much better!!!! Doubled my enjoyment, if not more.

In my opinion the characterisation of Umaben is very important. I'd rather see her as a strong headed matriach who rules with an iron fist than someone who is evil just for the heck of it. The former has more potential, whereas the later is uni dimensional. Supriya ji is a fabulous actress and I hope the writers of the show more aspects to UMa Ben's character than make a caricature out of it.

IMO, FK has done the damage initially. I used to change the channel just because i could not stand that guy and his wonderful acting. But that's just a factor and mostly i was disappointed because i compared it with the ground breaking chemistry of sarun.

Again Sony has its own limitations as a channel. If the show was in Star plus, it would have fetched TRP in the range of 1 to 2 to say the least.

Anyway the show has absolutely nothing unique to offer IMO. May be it will hold up for next few months.
