First this is not for fans but an Annalysis for PH/Writers /Sanaya Friends who do come to India Forums to check it out.

I spoke to all sorts of women in my circle from 16-70 Called my friends in India ,UK,USA Singapore.

I adore Sanaya and took sony for her however I am not blind nor want to see her ever fail.

I started to watch Hindi soaps because of Sanaya and Barun and IPKKND.After being an NRI working woman for 35 years being a modern sas and having modern bahus can not stomach sas bahu serials unrealistic waste of my time and do not want furture generations to think the over jeweled over dressed palu clad Indian women crying and sobbing is todays woman.

Fans adored sarun jodi If it had completed its natural course fans would have accepted more realistically Sanaya in a sas bahu play I respect her desicion to try out different role but Sanaya audience is not your typical trp audience and Chan chan is like a painting with no soul.

Story is very weak people have seen it too many times yes Sanaya is the most popular Telly star today she can breathe life into a love scene emote very well is like a craze among young generation people still want to see her in a power full love story If she wants to try some thing Different I have seen plays like Matai Jan, Humsafaer Hindi PH who make serials should come up with power full roles like these Sanaya would be great at it.

CC is over the top bahus , MIL who is not coming across as popular MIL she is a great actor FIL grates on nerves its like too artificial and some older generation do not even like dogs who make the trp audience. I have 2 dogs and love them.

So what is the saving Grace Anuj Every one is liking their jodi but to vanish him when these 2 are needed to bring and keep the audience is a mistake.

Anuj and Sanaya should have been togather in atleast first 10 episodes most of the time.

Upto PH either way Sanaya will have to decide 3-6 months at the most the show can last, she even gave up on JDJ which was her choise but yes you wanted a change we respect it but every one wants Success some hard hitting desicions will have to be made by PH /Sanaya.

The silver lining is Anuj lets see what they have in store for us but as sas bahu the trp audience

not including the sanaya loyal fans or international audience are they going to accept it or...

Story is definitely a POS that is DOA.

And this rather typical saas-buhoo fare is gonna take the show off-air very soon.

The audience responsible for the existing TRP numbers are those who want love-scenes with Sanaya and male lead.
They do not want to see the standard saas-buhoo cr*p which Ekta Kapoor and her ilk have explored in all its forms for about 15 + years.

No matter that Supriya Pathak is a good actor or it has Sanaya.
Even if they had kept it to the original basis- movie Khoobsoorut (from 1980s) - it would have worked.

That was a sweet movie, with the would-be MIL rather strict but not devious at all; and other than a cutting remark or two at the very end of the movie, never had much of an interaction with the female lead.

That movie translated into a show would have been fun and uplifting to watch.

But, alas!
We are faced with Ekta Kapoor's roster of CVs and writers.
Do expect that same fare.

I agree with you completely.

Just watching the show to supprot Sanya.

Otherwise Chanchan is not a good show what can grab TRP audience.

sry i just keep sony on the t.v set and do al kind of stuff other than watching it. . Just a glimse of sanaya, and datz all :) 4 me al hindi shows are crap , sry

i dont know abt TRP ...

n i dont think chanchan is a saas bahu drama ...i have never seen my father smile n njoy a saas bahu show ...he is always lyk wat bakwas r u guys watching wen maa use to watch typical saas bahu drama ...i dont wanna name the show ...but wen he watch chanchan he is all smiles for her ...

he lykes how her saas manuplate n how the bahus reacts n how chanchan comes wid a solution of doing d same thing not hurting nybody

if ppl will watch it with a open mind n stop looking for the mills n boons dey will start njoying the show ...n typical saas bahu is the show wid d highest trp ...

here der is difference of opinion n living style ...here dey r showing how ppl can adjust to d modern scenario ...here it is showing how a saas feels wen modern thing r introduced n how she tries to tell the bahus these things r not in our culture n the bahu fights back saying its not disturbing ur culture but making things easy for living !!!

i think writers r doing a fare job n dey should not run for trps ...dey should stick to der story n should show wat dey planned

for me its going gr8 !!!!!

any shows has plus and minus points.agree cc has loopholes..bt again si if she said no to certain shows and took up this shw there is some reason behind that..and if u see all the cast are quite well known actors..cc has gobe throo a bad phasde..now everything is on track...and i m liking everyhting nw...

and regd the show going off air...i dont thnk so any way trp's will be out soon..anmd sony unlike sp knw hw si is imp for thm..and regd anuj he had decied not to do tv...and if he has accepted a shw which lots of his contemporaries denied there is some reason...

anuj has just entered and we cant expect miracles to happen in days time.and even me i hate crappy shows where mil troubles ..and dil criies..and even i rteally enjoyed old movie khoobsurat..i am sure cv's knw what they are dpoing and i wld give chance to thm,..and nw for me seeing SANUJ on onsreen daily makes my day..😛..no offence to anyone my pov...

if we look at this with romance painted glasses this is not going to work!

nor is it a saas bahu show! It is CC's journey from a carefree modern young girl to a responsible mature married lady who will straddle the line of traditions and modernity carefully and eventually find a proper balance..

that would be the natural journey and end of this serial..

@TM: I am much younger than u.. I am not living in India.. these customs r unknown to me in first hand sense despite me being familiar to them over years of 2nd hand experiences..

the thing is I am loving the saas bahu clash.. the way the clash happens..the way the young girl is walking along this life is interesting to me..
yes CC as a story has lots of loopeholes.. in fact it HAD.. it is getting so much better!! I am absolutely loving it!
the biggest fault of the show is rectified and now they have all the time to concentrate on the storyline without worrying if 1 certain person will do justice to a scene or not!

And to be honest if we take yesterday's episode if i have to pick my fav part it would not be the ChanMan scene.. what I watched over 20 or 30 time by now is the cute blundering as a new bahu gets used to new things!
the adorable mistakes she makes.. how she tries to adapt herself..those things were so interesting and fun to watch..

So well i don't know how u can say this is saas-bahu!

this show is exactly the opposite of the typical saas bahu shows!!

this show is showing what is wrong with prehistoric traditions.. shows how the bridge b/w two completely different generations can be bridged to form a common acceptable ground for both..

teaches the importance of walking ahead with the time..

Do not watch this with the expectation of romance!
Watch it to see Chhanchhan growing in front of our very own eyes...

its her journey..

and Its really tough to give competition to Diya bati .. that is one of the reason.. but i dont know abt other serials at this time.. 😕

The show is great...it meets my expectations based on what Sanaya had said about why she chose this show.

I am not into Indian entertaiment, big or small screen...I watch it for Sanaya...I always end up smiling at the end of the episode because of her...that's my expectation.

It is light...like she said...no OTT about anything.

It is a nice cute story...the core story is UB & CC and they are showing it. There is a loving husband (cute one now) and they are showing it.

All the actors are doing their part very well. There is only so much they can show in a 20 min episode.

Sony shows - I think only a minority of Indian people will like...they are not a run of the mill Indian entertainment...so TRPs will always be low...and anyway aren't the TRPs big time faulty and Sony is getting out of that monitoring system.

Copy or similar of or to something else...laugh...isn't most of Indian entertaiment a version of something else.

Just my POV. No disrespect to anyone.
