Tonight's episode of Anupamaa continues with the wedding rituals of Ansh and Prarthana. The pandit asks Ansh to apply sindoor in Prarthana's maang. At this moment, Anupama gently guides Ansh, and he completes the ritual by filling his bride's maang. Watching this, Anupama drifts into memories of her own wedding, recalling the time when Anuj had filled her maang during their marriage.

Following the sindoor ceremony, Ansh proceeds to tie the mangalsutra around Prarthana's neck. As this ritual unfolds, Anupama once again finds herself lost in flashbacks, remembering how Anuj had lovingly tied the mangalsutra for her. The poignant memories bring a wave of emotions for her as she relives those cherished moments.

Once all the key rituals are performed, the pandit announces that the marriage is now complete and that from this moment onward, Ansh and Prarthana are husband and wife. Anupama warmly congratulates the newlyweds, while Leela asks them to seek blessings from all the elders. However, Anupama reminds everyone that since Prarthana is expecting, it would be difficult for her to bend down. She suggests that the elders themselves should step forward to bless the couple. Hasmuk praises the beauty of Indian traditions as the family showers their blessings on Ansh and Prarthana. Meanwhile, Rahi feels a tinge of sadness watching Anupama celebrate joyfully with the dance queens.

Anupama's Words of Wisdom on Marriage

Anupama takes a moment to guide the couple about married life. She explains that in earlier times, women were considered Anugamini, walking behind their husbands. But today's wives are Sahagamini, walking alongside their partners. She emphasises that marriage is not merely a ritual but the beginning of a lifelong partnership. According to her, true companionship means facing joys and struggles together, sharing responsibilities, and moving forward hand in hand.

The Farewell Ritual and the Shoe Ceremony

Leela talks about the significance of the farewell ritual, pointing out that although Prarthana is already living in the Shah house, this tradition marks a new beginning for her married life. Rahi interrupts and announces that one important custom is still pending, the search for the groom's shoes.

The Shah family breaks into a cheerful dance as Rahi's group cleverly steals Ansh's shoes. She demands ?20,000 in exchange, leading to a playful negotiation with Mahi and Pari. Anupama eventually suggests that Ansh give ?5,000 to his sisters. Rahi distributes the money, also sharing it with the dance queens. Observing everyone's changing expressions, Anupama remarks on the complexity of human nature.

Emotional Moments for Prarthana

As the celebrations continue, Prarthana becomes emotional, thinking about Parag. Both Anupama and Ansh comfort her. Leela then reminds Prarthana to perform the farewell ritual. Anupama silently reflects that she had hoped Parag would be present, but his ego seems to have kept him away.

Pakhi notices Rahi and Prem getting emotional and asks them the reason. Anil explains that during a daughter's bidaai, parents experience immense pain but remain quiet because the bride's in-laws are considered to have greater authority over her life. Anupama agrees, sharing how parents are the ones who once held their daughter's hand through every step of childhood, protecting her from every difficulty, yet in this moment, they quietly suppress their emotions. Prem adds that while the tears are painful, they also carry the joy of seeing Prarthana find a life partner.

Parag's Arrival at the Bidaai

At last, Parag arrives for the farewell ceremony. His presence brings relief to Prarthana, and the two share an emotional moment. In a surprising gesture, Parag places Prarthana's hand into Ansh's, symbolising his acceptance of their marriage.

Trouble Brewing in the Background

Meanwhile, Gautam informs Vasundhara and Khyati that Parag has chosen to meet Prarthana, ignoring them. In a dramatic act, Gautam attempts to harm himself, but Vasundhara and Khyati stop him. They assure him that Prarthana and Ansh will never be accepted into their family. Vasundhara goes a step further, vowing to take Prarthana's child away, against Parag's wishes. As their plotting intensifies, Gautam resolves to destroy both Ansh and Anupama.

Precap for the next episode:

In the precap, Parag breaks down in front of Anupama. She consoles him, saying that Prarthana has endured many hardships, but also reminds him that parents, too, sometimes make mistakes. She urges him to hold on to hope for a better future.
