But in CC her facial expressions, her hair do's make her 30+ and the character itself does not suits her, its different than the introduction promos and the character's unnecessary love for dogs makes it weird.

In future, this is my friendly advice to SI that, she should be very careful in choosing the scripts and characters and should not count on her popularity only, which I feel is getting down in minus now-a-days. Her IPKKND charisma has gone. SUCH A WASTE!!!!

This is my opinion and I think everybody has right to share its own true opinion.

I think Sanaya will like your advice...she herself prioritizes being a good actor and improving herself over being popular and being called a star. The very reason she moved into a genre she has not done before, instead of taking up another love saga.

She has taken a risk, and it may or may not pay off, but at least she tried. It is better to try and fail then never giving another genre a shot or try to be versatile. It is also people who try to come out of their comfort zone that run the risk of failing, not those who sit on the fence waiting to be offered a perfect script. Don't think any actor signs a project knowing it will not work or is a sure shot disaster.

Thank God at least industry insiders know that no show succeeds or fails because of one person, it is a team effort. So, when this show ends most of its actors will get other work and so will Sanaya, just like she did when her last show was yanked out in short notice. She does not seem the type to wallow in self-pity.

BTW, Chhanchhan is not as young as Khushi, remember Dadi' s dream in the first episode where she is worried about Chhanchhan's wedding because she is getting older.

trust me if u browse MJHT forum on the days of IPK starting many thought she was doing a mistake there too.. they didn't like Khushi after Gunjan. but now after 2 years her fans still r her fans and have started loving Khushi too, some even more than Gunjan.

the point is. if u see most of the people who have replied here actually r liking her role. 'fans' as u generalize is a little bit too broad. i myself thought she did a mistake until 2 weeks back. but now I have begun to love the character since the execution picked up.
but without a given I am still more attached to Khushi, as per human nature.

n well i doubt ANY single fan has EVER said CC the girl does NOT suit Sanaya! they r ok with the character (some don't like to see her covering her head despite it being just 1 day in the show's life). but basically no1 has a problem with CC the character other than needing a few more layers n info on it.

ps: Sanaya & CC r uncannily alike in reality that it would be a joke to say she doesn't suit the character!! 😆

Judging by the comments on this thread some of her fans definitely have problems with the character of Chanchan and if all her "fans" from IPK ya MJHT like the show then the ratings would not be an issue. The numbers speak for itself.

I didn't think either SaJan or SaRun were the greatest thing since sliced cheese... and both storylines were predictable (shy girl - popular boy, bubbly girl - khaados boy). I was hopping Chanchan would be different. The character is definitely unique. Even Mr. SuSu was interesting, but the story is BORING and PREDICTABLE.

So if she does every show on that I would still watch and drool..and fall in love all over again..

And sigh.. Gul is the ONLY person on Indian TV who knows how to tell love stories..cz she told the best story in my entire life..IPK..

I want CC to work for a good one year or more..for San's sake. But after that i would be the happiest person alive if she gets back to my fav (and only genre i actually watch or read on) genre.

maybe shallow..lol but M&Bs n I go back since my 16th b'day when i laid hands on my 1st of many..8 years have changed nothing i still curl up with one at least once a week.. n i have around 400 or so pending in my phone itself..

Would love to see Sanaya in another love story too Sunara, but this time something more mature and that gives equal weightage to the male and female protagonists. A woman who is sensible, can stand up for herself and is beautifully layered.

Even if they are addressing the same issues in other saas-bahu shows, the creatives and writers need to think hard and give them a new twist, to make the tracks interesting and the show diffrent. The things I like so far is that Chhanchhan is not afraid of UB and has common sense while Manav is refreshingly not a mama's boy. The characterization of UB needs to be worked on, she simply lacks scruples right now.

The creatives did botch up, the ex ML was also not good, but since we have a new actor and the actual premise of the story just began, waiting to see what they come up with.

Ahhh, so I guess you're looking for drama, huh?!! Well, there are other shows who provide that!! Just look at all the top shows, you'll find all the drama you are looking for!! Then you won't find them boring and predictable, right?!! 🤔😊 People seem to talk about ratings as if it's about life or death!! I'm sure you haven't read where people have also said that Sony is the least watched channels compared to others!! And I believe a lot of those fans are international viewers who can't contribute to ratings in India!! But how do we really know that CC has poor ratings?!! There are lot of people living in Indian not just 7, 000 to 9,000 households!! There may be a lot of people who have free cable too!! They might be watching CC but can't contribute to the ratings!! And it also depends on people's mentality!! Some may be open-minded but not everyone in India is!! There are a lot rural people who contribute to ratings too!! I bet you , a lot!! 😉 Rural area people are not open minded as Urban viewers!! Most urban people are busy people unlike rural area people!! There a lot of factors instead of just saying that people don't like CC !! Seriously, people things need to change!! Stop throwing pity parties!! CC is sooo above that!! I don't think the content has anything to do with ratings!! If they did then such shows like DABH and other saas bahu shows wouldn't be sooo high in ratings!! Just take today for an example!! My mom switched to Sony to watch CC but realized that it's Friday!! 😆 So, she switches to DABH a show she used watch everyday!! 😉 😉 Anyway, I was eating in the dining room while mom was eating in the other room where the TV is as usual!! 😆 So I can hear what's happening in the other room!! And no surprise that the whole episode went by just with the whole family in one room discussing on one topic without moving a muscle!! 🤢 I asked my mom while in the other room that the whole episode just went by discussing one topic in one room!! 🤢How could that be?!! Then she tells me that she knows but they are some families that are like that (I'm glad I'm not a part of that family or else I would've killed myself!!) 🤢 But what else can she do?!! CC was not on today!! Although , I respect that it's 4 days/week show!! 😊 Anyway, I don't understand how people could watch that stuff?!! And I'm sure only oldies would watch such shows since it comes at 9:00 pm when others would be off to bed !! And they have nothing to do!! 😆These people love the melodramatics like DABH, Yeh Rishta, Saathiya, Balika Vadhu, and now Pyar ka Dard!! 🤢 ANd yes, ZEETV and Colors also have their own share of audience who love the drama they throw at them!! 🤓

why r we thinking alot about trp's cause sony is noo more concerned about it...honge juda na hum which was the show before chhanchhan on the same time slot which was having trp less than chhanchhan run for 6 months sooo noo need to worry much anyway chhanchhan is having better than that show and also every show in sony is not having big trps...if they r not having any problem thwen why do we care about it much?🤔

Call me crazy, but I don't think Umaben is that bad!! I can tolerate her!! Atleast she is not a sourpuss like Bhabo!! 🤢 I can't stand such melodramatic saas!! Yikes!! 😲 Plus, the actress is much better at expressing than the other one!! Plus Umaben has funny one liners, she doesn't scare me as such!! 😊

Shreya - please don't presume to know my likes or dislikes nor my level of knowledge. I am well aware what and who makes up TRPs. Sony's ratings maybe poor, but there are shows that succeed on it. BALH and CID for instance. I am also not some blind Sanaya fan nor a moron who does not grasp the limitedness of the current audience sample size. Chanchan from day 1 has failed to deliver on its promise. The cat-mouse of Chanchan and Umaben is a total YAWN. There is very little new in it except the dog angle.
