This is the kind of thing I fail to understand. One of my colleagues from my previous workplace once spent 10,000 bucks to watch a cricket match at Wankhede. Exactly what makes these people spend these ridiculous amounts?

Students are doing good. I am having fun with them! They requested for extra time because they were confused about tenses.

Yup di, got selected in 3 companies- one is that japanese company- Its too far and was difficult for me to travel and also i was not comfortable - so did not go

Second one was Big CA firm- Did not feel comfortable here too. so said no.

Last one is PWC- Price water house- said Yes- There is time and working flexibility. First six months is like contract kind, probationary. But work, distance and pay wise - it was better. Accepted the Offer. 😃 Documents verification is going on.😊

Not just aartis...during Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri, some of these mandals and organisers have "talent competitions" for kids who belong to the slums (please excuse the language; no intention of sounding rude or demeaning). The whole event lasts about four hours and they do not start before 9 PM. And the entire thing, right from the announcements to whatever the kids are performing, happens on loudspeaker. Kids are screaming their songs into the mike and whoever is congratulating or praising the performer has to scream into the mike. It's annoying...to put it mildly.

Last year, someone complained to the police about the noise levels and there was such chaos! We (all flat owners in the gully) were accused of trampling on the small joys of little children and being the snooty rich and whatever not! Tiring and more annoying. Let's see what happens this year.

I agree...Bollywood is too stuck to formula. Although they are breaking free now, but still, I cannot imagine any Sanjay Leela Bhansali or any Karan Johar or even Aamir Khan making this kind of film.
