EURO: What an interesting Round of 16. Good match between Poland and Switzerland which came to penalty shootouts. Belgium won v/s Hungary 4-0. And I thought Hungary was a very good team. Portugal won against Croatia 1-0 when Croatia was considered the stronger team. All the matches were quite interesting. Coming to Italy v/s Spain last night, I was happy for Otaly but totally disappointed with Spain. It was a one sided match. Felt like I didn't know this Spanish team who won the lady EURO.

Will be interesting to see which of the big teams (Italy, France, Germany) win the cup this year. But honestly I'm all for the underdogs and won't be surprised if Belgium or even Iceland take the cup home. They have been brilliant 👏.

Cops America: Feel bad for Argentina and Messi. Three finals and three losses in three years. Of all penalty shots Messi had to miss his. Unfortunately Messi and Ronaldo have been great for their leagues but never for their countries. Not taking credit away from Chile, the best team won. I'm sure they are doing everything right. Two finals in two years and winning both against a team like Argentina with Messi is quite an achievement 👏.

Dunno who is listening but I'm just talking to myself out of football fever excitement 😆.

Messi retired abruptly and i was again unfortunately watching the full match right from scratch...Penalty is an unfair way of deciding the better team i have always believed and to be honest Chile played better in the first half but argentina was also not bad ...the main person was again Bravo ...The dude is awesome especially as he is the main goalie for FCB and knows Messi very well...and also stopped a header in extra time !

Messi missed and i didnt even understood as i was doing some chore quite sure that missing penalty is not something messi does...😕 it was like some bomb dropped!

anyway it was a bad morning with the stupid channel airing the entire celebration and my dad watching till the last end when pitbull performed

im done !

I too will root for Iceland and wales and portugal too and my fav team Italy which made me watch soccer even way before messi and co

more later

Anu, keep posting your sports updates. Love reading them.

This is turning into a week of misses.

Wanted to watch copa america, but missed it.

And Messi missed a penalty shot.

I;m sad that Namsy's sad that Messi is retiring from national team. 😭

I'm even more sad that GOT season has come to an end and its another long wait.

Kumble - I agree, he deserves to be the coach and all the appreciation coming his way.

To Brexit or Not - Britain is still contemplating. Hear another referendum is coming up.

And EU, is in a hurry to wrap the exit.

Not much idea of the financial implications, but on the immigration front, I can understand their concern.

Out there in US, Trump is making a poll issue of immigration.

Back here in Mumbai, for ages, Shiv Sena has always been going on about migrants to the state.

Hi-5 Nams. Italy is the reason I started watching football in the first place. I was probably five or six when I started watching football. This sport has a very special place in my heart. I started loving cricket and tennis coz my family loved it but my family started watching football because I started loving it.

Watched Finding Dory today with my niece. Such a cute movie 😳.

Yes Gitey, having a great time with bhabhi and niece. Bro joining us here on 8th July.

Heavy rains in Mumbai in the last five to six days. Good riddance to the heat and unbearable humidity. More rainy days ahead coupled with high tide which only means quite a few days of floods. I'm hoping it doesn't rain heavily on high tide days or times.

The Ishqbaaz promo didn't excite me tbh. Nor did the male leads. So I'll skip it. Besides I think I'm done with Indian shows. But keep me updated here Farz. Would love to know more even if I'm not watching. And I totally love reading your views.

Anu, ❤️totally forgot to tell you, the Chakli and chiwda were yummyMy comp autocorrect kept changing it to Chalk and chewed 😆) Enjoy the rains darling. I had planned to take kids to Nariman pt or Marine drive during the rains. But alas, couldn't make it. Here, clouds gather, peacocks dance, but no rains as of yet.

Ishqbaaz, not yet watched it, only read the WUs. Thought of catching up yday, but watched GOT finale and had one the longest chat in a long time, with Namssy dissecting, bisecting and then restitching everything together.

Another attack, this time at Istanbul airport.🤢 Now, I;ve stopped asking, when will it end. Its not going to end. No country, no place is safe anymore. And Airports are supposed to have a high degree of security. 😡 Really sad.

MY mom started watching ! and she is here till 11th July so yes i will be flitting in and out and really its so repetitive and duh ! So loud and the side characters are like vapid ...Yes haya is the only spark in this show so far and her part is somewhat ok

and im so done with Indian soaps too!

Brexit My close friend has just got a transfer sand yes her visa is yet to come and she is all jittery so experiencing the consequences of it through her anxiety ...Her hubby has already quit his job and they are all set to land in London next month except the ...Visa!

It seems a lot of confusion is there regarding the immigration and job part and i guess will impact more people than imagined

Rest anyone saw udta punjab?

With rains not arriving here, and winter still long, the summer indeed is very long.

Brexit- is very confusing. The whole world is jittery. There was a very funny write up on Brexit from Jeeves-Bertie POV. Will try to post it here. It was refreshing to read something worthwhile in TOI after a long time.
