@ Sindhu ,
You had told me to share something about Shivaji. Will do it now whenever I can.
Well People mistake as Shivaji to be a Hindu ruler. But he was very secular in reality. He never ever invaded mosques.Even if he found a Quran ,he would hand it over with respect. He from day one was a very good person thanks to his illustrious mother .
Once Kalyan's subedar, who was a Mughal, his daughter in law was caught by Marathas and brought to Shivaji. The DIL was very beautiful to make any man go mad.People were curious that what will Shivaji do.Shivaji told her that if my mother was as beautiful as you even I would have been a handsome man,😆.He referred her as a mother and with dignity and respect along with lots of expensive jewellery and clothes sent her back.

A brief update of what I have read so far from The Tuzuk- I - Jahangiri ( 1914)

Salim made no addition to the imperial terriotires but lose some of them rather. His peaceful temperor or his laziness was an advantage for it saved much blood shed.

His greatest fault as a King was his sub-servience to his wife Nur-Jahanm, and quarrel with his son Shan Jahan,

His last years were especially melancholy, for he suffered from Asthma and other diseases.

He endure the ignominy of being a captive for a while to one of his own servants Mahabat Khan.

He died on the borders of Kashmir, when on his way to Lahore, in October 1627. (59years)

At the time of his death his son Shah Jahan was at Junair in the Deccan,

Here what I read today somewhere :-

"Khurram once ordered that the amount of booty in the imperial treasury be determined. The diamonds and precious stones were so numerous that they couldn't be counted, thus they were weighed. The imperial treasurer after days of tedious work, reported to Khurram that the imperial treasury heldhalf a ton of the most brilliant diamonds and a ton of flawless pearls, and the huge variety of precious stones weighed even more"

A little info on MUZ " No marriage in mediaeval Indian history was, politically, so happy and fruitful, as the one contracted by Akbar with the daughter of Raja Bhar Mal of Amber in January 1562. It symbolized the dawn of new era in Indian politics it gave the country a line of remarkable sovereigns, it secured to four generations of Mughal emperors the services of some of the greatest captains and diplomats that medieval India, produced.

Maryam _ Uz- Zamani of Rajput decent possessed a strong, sinewy frame from which Salim inherited a robust constitution, a handsome face and seldom fell ill.
