I feel pity for Salim sometimes Ela.Becoz had he got a good life partner like his father, with whom he can share his innermost feelings and a lady who could inspire him ,maybe he would have had a better life .

If Anarkali was real then I would have preferred her over Noorjahan.

Rashmi absolutely. .Salim was cursed. .he was born to such a great family. .had every thing going for him. Had a wonderful life partner in Maan bai but was of unstable disposition. .On the top of it Maan died. .plus Salim'drug and alcohol addiction hurt his health real bad. .things went out of his control in the last few years of his life. .that is why I hated it when zee glorified drug addiction. .Salim and Khurram basically basked in the glory of jalal. .Their own achievement are very little except few monuments. ..poverty was wide spread. ..It was Aurangzeb who was really great like jalal ..but went in completely opposite direction. .sad isn't it

Ela, Rashmi - I actually have no sympathies for Salim. Especially once I came to know of how Khusaro was handled by Salim, I feel nothing at all. Akbar tolerated Salim to such an extent, but what did Salim do to Khusarao

Salim got everything on a silver Platter, but his choice and decisions were totally wrong.

Sindhu i agree with everything you said. .and that is why I have sympathy for salim. .he was very intelligent but still took no right decision. .btw khusaro planned murder of salim. .so he got him blinded. .mind you i am not defending salim at all. .One person i actually dislike is khurram. .

I read in that vincent smith book that Akbar had reduced his drinking in his middle age and I was so happy to read. Then next sentence was he was into opium. So naturally his Kids will also follow nah. Now a days too any parties you go people drink and its a big thing. But they are not understanding that our children are also looking up to us.

No dear. .jalal was no opium or alcohol addict. .he took them occasionally
