Why didn't Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai keep their pairing going?

smiley22 smiley36 I swear this is an underrated couple. Even though I don't like Aishwarya that much and her atrocious acting, she did good when paired with the sexy Ajay Devgan. They were solid together in HDDCS, Khakee, and Raincoat. Three diverse movies with great directors - SLB, RKS, and Ritupharno Ghosh.

Why couldn't have they kept the momentum going?
Did they have a falling out?
It wouldn't surprise me because Aishwarya pissed off most of the leading men in Bollywood and Ajay was her only saving grace plus Hrithik and Abhishek.

Noone seems to be excited about them coming again for one final movie. After Dilwale, their pairing doesn't seem commercially viable anymore....
