@neha, I find costumes in Siyasat plain. Specially the one's male characters wear. They wear very less ornaments. BTW, who that little girl in Siyasat? I have watched like only two episodes, I am still not familiar with most of the characters!

@Rashmi, Is mahakumbh related to kumbh mela by any means? I have been to nasik, and panchavati.seriously? are those 5 trees living till now, from tretayug? they look so fresh and greenish! Its not like i am doubting, just hell surprised!
Yup mahakumbh is related to Kumbhmela. But Kumbhmela takes place in Ujjain too,so I don't know which place will be the backdrop for the story here,Those five trees in panchavti ? Yup I have seen them years ago ,I faintly remember them. They might be from that era but then folk tales are always there so how much to believe them even I am confused.
Like on the banks of Godavari, there is one Mandir of a devimaa whose doors open automatically after every 12 years during Kumbhmela. This what the famous folk tale says.
And Nasik has all such tales.People who can't go to kashi come here for the last riots of their loved ones .And so earlier the city was well known for black magic and ghost stories.

yesterday in SBS they showed kumbh mela cast promoting their serial in varnasi.

@bold, i think i have been to that temple. I donno!😕 I have been to some temple there!!

I didnt know that. Thanks for the info. All i knew was that, Shurpanaki's nose was cut at put on the other side of River called and thats why the name Nasik.
The name Nasik comes as it's situated on 9 hills.Shurpanakha's story is also well known.Nasik has trimbakeshwar which is one of the "jyotirlinga" of Bhagwan shankar. The mountain called " brahmagiri" situated there is so windy that people say if you go on top of that mountain ,you might be flown away by the winds.
And there is one temple in Nasik ,where people come and tie "bells".It has as of now Lakhs of bells tied to it.Film actress Kajol and her husband and many celebs too come there many times to tie bells.
And there is one church which is the only church in Asia which has mother Mary's shrine with her baby .So many people from different parts of the world come there on the second or third Saturday of February( I don't remember exact day)as there is some festival on that day in the church.Christians believe that on that day if you come and visit the shrine and light a candle, you may be blessed by a baby .

I loved BCL as well as ZRA also Charu. I could not even watch that KB pair dance for more than a second. Our Akdha was the best.

Murad and little Anar was cute too.

Naya CC!!🥳
AkDha ke BCL performace is something to die for! I liked it more than ZRA!!😳

Ye ekta bhi na!🤢

Beech mai i saw leap ka promo!🥺

Iss serial mai toh, they show Rukaiyya-BT, Rukaiyya-hukka,Rukaiyya-MA ka chemistry all the time!😡
ZRA wala performance was also too good!😳

Ab toh, no ummeds! Next year ZRA they may show JA sitting on throne and watching SA dance like AkDha! Thoo! 🤢

I actually loved BCL performance and ZRA was also different and I liked it. The good thing about Akdha performance is we feel like watching again and again. The KB dance I only watched for a sec and had to move on.

@bold: ayoo Raks, earlier I would get disappointed, sad. but right now I am laughing reading your this comment...What to do...

Hi Friends,

This I will also vouch for. I watch MP only sporadically. But the sets drip with royalty and grandeur.

The DEK of Akbar and even the darbar of Udai Singh really look grand. The throne of Akbar is v good. You can imagine that's how the real darbars must have been like.

I had once mentioned that the DEK in JA looks like a drawing room in a middle class flat. Everyone is so casual, as if they were having tea and pakodas and gup-shup.

Sorry, RT fans, but the Akbar in MP looks more regal and seems to have the authority and arrogance of a young emperor. RT is beginning to look less and less like an emperor. A "gravitas" is missing in the Akbar of JA.

Acting is also more understated and subtle. Royal people in MP cry silently with tears just glistening in their eyes. They don't shout/scream/throw things around or generally seem like they are having hysteria.

The only drawback is that the pace is slow. If the pace picks up, MP would get into the top rung of shows.

Exactly I too feel the same thing😊

I really like the AURA being shown there...and this is a NECESSARY element for historical shows⭐️

@Radhika & @lasyap3, I like costumes the most in MP. They are royal. And abt the sets, I would suggest u to watch Siyasat. If u see the DEK & DEA in siyasat, u'll forget even MP. The sets look so real. Everything is perfect & royal. Even the grey characters look dignified not cheap like JA's characters. A servant knows how to give a proper salam to Shehenshah & Mallika. They bow down till waist while wishing them.U should watch the show for brilliant acting & cinematography. While watching the show it looks like as if I m in 16th century & witnessing everything in real.

I agree with all three of your views. The production team of MP has maintained the royal ambience of both the Rajputs and Mughals extremely well. Every aspect, be it the clothes, backdrop, dialogues, characterization, cinematography and above all, their idea of natakiya roopantar are excellent.

I love MP's white horse Chetak.😊

Initially, the actor playing Akbar scared me with his green contact lenses, but I'm getting used to him now. The decorum of the Mughal court has been perfectly depicted. Nobody takes the shehenshah for granted and walks into his court.

I love the dialogue delivery of the Rajputs too.

Having said this, it will take me a long long time, to erase the faces of Paridhi and Rajat from my mind. They have become synonymous with the characters of Jodha and Akbar. Having seen them everyday for a year and a half, they are not easy to forget. 😭

Very true charu..The moment i think ja the first face that comes to my mind is parijat. Its sad the level the serial had gone to but its the very first serial i got very much attached and it would take a very long time to forget ,if ever it happens.

@bold: me to me too..I am trying but cant forget..

But a relief that MP is there to watch now for me..but that anxiety to watch MP is not there yet. May be it will come slowly

True sindhu
i too like mp .I'm really hopeful of ashoka as it comes under the same production and a good writer.Hopefully we would have a good cast too.
