True democracy and safety is when a girl is untouched even if she walks naked on the street... according to the male victim, they were surrounded by the public who were passing unwanted comments but none came forward to cloth them... he was begging for clothes to cover her ...cops acting chivalrous is limited to films only... none of the cops removed their jackets or shirts to cover her.. I believe it took a good 20 minutes before someone obtained a sheet from a nearby hotel... that's horrible.. 😭

I am sure neither is wrong. A lot of times, in the Asian societies, guests are treated relly well. I have also personally experienced how warm Afghans are to Indians (from my hair dresser to the secretary in a friend's office). They love Indian movies, Aishwarya Rai (can you believe it?). But, when it comes to their own women, they become regressive... how they should adhere to Islam and stuff like that!

Fawzia Koofi's book os an eye opener! Did you know that at birth, she was left outside the house, in the blazing sun, to die? By her own mother!

sure but one thing i have noted is Afgan movies have such a positive cute touch to them!!! I have watched Baran, Children of heaven etc...

Any other suggestions of books and movies...i have read Kite-runner and bought thousand splendid suns...
