umz, but what about being a good samaritan... I am told that its cold in Delhi now.. surely, people would have been wearing layers and layers of clothes so they could have spared at least one? lack of humanity..

sometimes all this hypocrisy and callousness bothers me a lot.. .. I am glad that at least one passer by was in the right frame of mind to call the cops... when the male victim was asked for a last comment, he said that the next time you encounter an accident, please stop and offer help.. that was a sad plea ..

I am sure neither is wrong. A lot of times, in the Asian societies, guests are treated relly well. I have also personally experienced how warm Afghans are to Indians (from my hair dresser to the secretary in a friend's office). They love Indian movies, Aishwarya Rai (can you believe it?). But, when it comes to their own women, they become regressive... how they should adhere to Islam and stuff like that!

Fawzia Koofi's book os an eye opener! Did you know that at birth, she was left outside the house, in the blazing sun, to die? By her own mother!

Fawzia Koofi's book???? do pass me if you have online copy or tell the name i will buy it!!!

I love collecting books

Any other suggestions of books and movies...i have read Kite-runner and bought thousand splendid suns...

Thousand Splendid suns is a page turner. So well written, it touches the heart and I really felt like crying, even though it was fictional!
