I am delighted that you are as happy about this as I am, my dear Pratiksha!

I read your post immediately after seeing this message, and I have Liked it, but not commented on it. I will do so by the weekend. Some of the points you have raised there are really interesting.

Thank you, child! As I told Shailaja, I am going to store all this, as I am not at all sure when the next such instance will come up! My track record in the matter of predictions is very poor.😉 But this time I hit the jackpot on the basis of logic alone, which is very unusual.

Very convincing, my dear Anil, and exceptionally perceptive as regards Padmanand's psychological make up. 👏

The parts that I have now put in bold are the best of all. And your response to the second question is much better than mine. My response was, truth to tell, rather sloppy and intellectually lazy!😡

My dearest Lashykanna,

I am glad you had fun here. From now on, I am going to stop commenting on anything on this thread or responding to comments by others, for I do not want to accelerate the next spike. My hand is tired with too much of typing today - not on the responses I should have made to the pending comments but, in an ill-disciplined manner, on some discussion posts, one of which was quite long. So I plan to ease off as far as this thread goes. I am sure it is in good hands!

Take care... take rest, Periyamma...

Before I do that, I want to respond to your first point, or rather complaint, which is totally valid. This was perhaps the first time Chandra read a situation correctly and implemented a fairly complicated plan on his own, without either inputs or back up from Chanakya. In fact it was the other way around, for it is Chandra who provides the vital input about Roopa to Chanakya before he gets to Nand.

Maybe this sudden, effective activism was because the matter was deadly for Nandini. Maybe too he would have done the same even if it was not she who was involved. One does not know.

🤔 I think as far as serials go, the viewers like it this way...
All other matters, all other household problems ---> heroine rescues the day!
Heroine in trouble ---> Hero rescues the day!

But one thing is clear, in matters political, both strategic and tactical, Chandra is still just a shishya. He has to have everything explained to him.

True!

So does Padmanand, but then he is stupid, an arrogant bull-headed fool. Chandra, however, is not. I am sure he will grow up in the political sphere as well, and prove himself as an independent strategist.

Because that is how the original one was... let's hope they derive inspiration from the original and make CG here similar to him in this aspect... 😊

Let us see. I am flattered by your assumption that I have some access to the director, my dear, but I am afraid that is non-existent!

Oh...😕
You'd mentioned so in an earlier post that you had assurance from the director of the show himself... so, I assumed you knew someone on the set
Now I realise it was only a witty comment/joke 😆

I always say that no one else has the true, fine-tuned appreciation of words that you have. What you have deduced from a single line: It has lasted so long because Chandra wants it to, are proof enough of this, if at all proof was needed. @ blue is just perfect.

This is why, my pet, your comments are always a special pleasure for me.

Thank you so so much... Periyamma 🤗

My very dear Ranjana,

I am closing down for the next two days, but I wanted to reply to this one first.

You never fail to confound me, my darling girl, for I never know what you are going to come up with next! This time, you have not just ladled, but poured the warmest possible encomiums on me and my post with such abandon that I am struggling for breath!😉 Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Don't bother about a more detailed response. Just try and catch up with your work, as also with the weighty philosophical questions about life, so that you can be more relaxed when you visit my future threads.

Affectionately,

Shyamala Aunty

An extraordinary post, aunty ⭐️

While reading it, main soch rahi thi that your posts manage to pull off two feats regularly -

That which is good is cut and polished until its true beauty is revealed, and it becomes a luminously beautiful, perfectly shaped gem, with every facet glittering brilliantly.

And that which is errr...far, faaar from good...well, your exceptional analysis and super amazing language have convinced me it is possible make a silk purse out of a ...errr.. you get the drift :P😆

Filhaal, I'm stuck in a quagmire of seemingly endless work and some weighty philosophical questions about life 🤔 😆

Once I meet at least some of those commitments, I will be back to highlight my favourite portions :) 🤗

Take care aunty. Do give rest to your fingers and to yourself as well. All of our euphoria of Chandra's sudden flare of intelligence has tempted you to over strain perhaps. Till you feel better just 'likes' will do. Even after you feel better, dictating might be a better option.

Well, Lashykanna, this is not to breach my self-imposed break from this thread, but I must clarify that director bit before it slips my mind, as many things do these days with advancing years!

You are giving me too much credit for humour, for that was from some snippet of a 1 minute video I watched, which was flagged in the forum.

OK, now I am really off!

I am only supporting Chandra wanting to have her for his favourite.

I do agree that after that mistake Helena has been extremely careful in pretending to be the lovey dovey wife. To an extend, she is a lovey dovey wife for real because she thinks she is in love with Chandra. The only problem with her love is that it is the sort that a child in Kindergarden would have for a doll and holds tight to it so that other children will not play with it. It is more of establishing ownership than a selfless love

Eventhough, to Chandra she does not show her ugly side; I have felt that there is always a stark difference in the both of them. Nandini always comes out as genuinely caring and loving. While Helena's care and love is first and foremost focused on Chandra alone, and when it is towards others it appears as if she is trying too hard.

Basically what I am saying is that, like how Chandra now claims he can sense the difference between Roopa and Nandini within him i.e. he feels odd and restless around Roopa; If I was Chandra I would get the vibe on fakeness from Helena.

Its a pity actually. She, I think, is not really pure evil. It is her want to own him completely driving her to do very stupid and detrimental things. She is always seen by Chandra to be alleging or incriminating someone. It would not be a trait i would find pleasing in my queen.

See Nandini has this advantage where, Chandra think he had mistreated her for her father's sins, and all she did was due to her love for her father. Of course, Helena may not be privy to this. But it seems to me that Nandini's past sins are more easily erasable on this point, then Helena's who tried to prove to Chandra he was a nobody because he made her angry.

With Helena, Chandra lives by the motto, don't mix business with pleasure, 😉and even she stood with that, until Nandini came to the picture. That's when she had pyar ho Gaya Chandra se.more of so it seems like a 2yr old throwing tantrums to get her favorite toy.And her mom instead of disciplining her, shows her tricks to steal the toy. And about her giving up MM title, I guess she had no choice.she knew mob was against her, so was Chankya.
With Durdhara, I don't think he sees her as anything but a friend. She is beyond repair, needs to take a hike asap. Only time I felt bad for her was, when the guru asked shisya to get nookie with his best friend. That was totally absurd.😡
As u both have pointed out Nand putri has hurled some brickbats at Chandra, in the beginning, but since then she has come a long and a better way.
for Chandra, love was a waste of time,he tries to defy it.Now he sees a friend and sweetheart in Nandini a perfect soulmate.
Given the choices can't blame the guy. I think same goes for dadi. Writers haven't anyway measured up the first two with the 3rd one. We have pug dabaing type N,gala dabaing type H and bheja pakaing type D.
Don't jump the gun, I'm not to rescue dadi mission😆, matter of fact ,I absolutely do not like any dadi,bua,masi...the entire extended family on a show. I'm not used to it.She ain't going to piplivan or six feet under.
I do agree favoritism is bad, some may argue it's natural human behavior to show their preference. We encounter favoritism at work, school, in relations. May be Chankya had his share of favoritism, but that would have solely based on merit. Bet you, Malay would have been total jerk as his student, like he is now. Hope I didn't open a can of worm here.😉
After watching 100 some odd episodes of JA, i have mastered selective watching. I was totally blinded or deaf to the most annoying character .At least that's not the case here. Tokas , has a better physique and ample opportunity to showcase diverse shades.i'm all good if they stick by two things , give me best of C &C , and do NOT let Nandini be a torchbearer or a whistleblower. Let Chandra handle it.I do not mind at all ,if her chore is giving snan to Little Bindu or his Daddy.😉
If possible, could some one tell me the episode or date of telecast, when Helena shot her self on the foot with snooty remark. It sounds worth watching.
