Dear Aunty and my dear friends on this thread, I was doing a bit of searching and research on Chandragupta and Chanakya for more ideas for writing my FF when I came across this masterpiece on both these national heroes on YouTube. It is an old Telugu Historical movie of the same name. I have seen the 1990s Chanakya on Doordarshan. So seeing all the big names associated in this venture, I expected something on similar lines. But this one is a league and class apart. Specially not to miss is Shivaji Ganesan's Alexander in short pants. My husband, who had the misfortune to watch this in theatre, assures me that it was a super duper flop show. None of you would have seen anything like this! If you actually find time, please do watch it. All of you will fall out of your chairs laughing your heads off. There are lot of heavy-duty, melodramatic dialogues in Telugu. But all that will hardly matter. This is one laugh fest. So the bottom line and moral is that our CN was never this bad. I will never criticize the show or its makers about anything here onwards. I was laughing when he didn't want to marry rupa than itwas his nandani acha bacha bankar beth gaya really funny indeed chandra is very young and confused in love so we have to forgive all his foolishness ,but he's naughy too the way he made nandani jealous and the way he saved him self from rupas advances this girl is something else and than he ran straight to his praya patni bilkul pagal

Ekta ne akbar ko majnu banaya ab cgm ko aur koi hai ha shah jahan the perfect candidate and he was totally madly in love why cant she make khichadi out of this story at least itll make sense😆

goidness shaillu ,with english subtitle ill watch it,I watched one ten minutes episode ifchanakiyas 1990s serial where chandra was complaining bitterly about how acharyas vehvar and how he can't do what he wants,I don't see any reason to complain,for me its one entertainer and im enjoying the episodes kabhi kabhi ho jata hai

Amina you will definitely enjoy it! Tell me how you found Chandragupt's Shimmering Pink Silk Jubba and an even deeper pink shade lipstick that will put to shame even the heroines. Nobody will complain about Nandini's pink confusion vastra.

It will be easy for Chandra to convince all others that he was not married to Roopa. When Helena comes to know this truth, she will empty all Macedonia Madeira bottles, all by herself.

But... after convincing Roopa that he indeed married her (when she herself doesn't remember) ...

How is he going to convince the hungry lioness Roopa, that he dint marry her at all ?? She would stick like a leech onto him and refuse to leave.

It actually kept her from being walled in.

But that is not the USP. The USP is how happy they are when together, and now their shared delight in this repeat marriage. Last night's episode was a delight, especially because of Nandini's angry possessiveness towards Chandra. Shweta was tops in those bits, and complemented Rajat perfectly.

He will fake a fever for a few days, and then he will tempt her with Padmanand, like a nice juicy bone for a pesky terrier.😉

The real problem will be after Padmanand has been disposed of, when Chandra will still have both girls on his hands. I had flagged this earlier on the thread. Roopa has to die somehow.

Hopefully she will not try to imitate Roopa's sozzled dance. The Mauryan royal family's reputation would never recover from this second shock.😆

Yes Periyamma, that's a real problem if Nand dies and Roopa is alive.

Chanakya knew about Roopa existence and he did not have any problems in Chandra marrying Roopa.

Yesterday when Chandra himself was not aware whether he is sitting with Nandini or Roopa, Chanakya dint show any reaction at all. Nor did he bother asking Chandra how is he going to tackle the problem.

It's actually Chandra's problem. He doesn't want to marry Roopa and live with her.

Somehow I feel that the CVs will make her go absconding for few months and going to keep her alive for some future track - atleast to keep Helena on her toes 😃. But that's gonna be a repeat torture for us.
