Not a problem, my dear Sarika. I had finally got around to making a full list of all my Jodha Akbar posts - Including thise posted only in the Dhwani forum - some months back for some young friends, and I will mail the whole lot to you in 2 PMs.

But if you read my old JA posts, how is it that I do not remember your unusual id? Have you changed it recently, or were you one of that odd tribe, the silent readers?😉

Yes, Sri, Rajat came right back to top form tonight.

As I wrote to Abhaya above, he was fabulous. Not quite at the gut wrenching level of my Shakespearian Heights, at the end of the Sujamal track - where the circumstances were very different - but he ran it a close second.

And there was far more variety in the bitterness tonight- sarcasm, fury, and in the end, helpless, inarticulate misery. As he walked away, his whole face seemed to be dissolving and getting blurred, as if it had been put in an acid bath. This is a new technique he has developed recently, for I have never seen it in Jodha Akbar.

Nandini was a good foil, but it was an 80:20 affair. And I could not understand why the girl does not yell that she never went anywhere near Malay's rooms. Chandra will not believe her, for he has seen Roopa there, but at least she would have done something to defend herself! She does not even ask him how he accuses her of going to Malay's rooms.

See, it all comes down to the cardinal mistake she made, due to some emotional kink in her makeup, when she falsely accepted to Chandra that she loves Malayaketu. As I had noted in my post, that was very stupid of her.If she had denied it flat out in very strong terms, Chandra would have at least been given some pause, for the Roopa element was not there then.

As it is, she has boxed herself in, for she cannot now say that she detests Malayaketu - though come to think of it, she could if she wanted to, adding that she had said what she did in sheer disgust at Chandra's endless bullying.

Nor can she tell Chandra that she now loves him. He would not believe her given the evidence of his own eyes, but there is one lovely line in his bitter statement about this that was very revealing of his state of mind.

So we will have more and more misery piled on Nandini day in and day out till Roopa is exposed and Nandini redeemed, probably in line with Prem's scenario.

I shall try to find words adequate for Chandra's tour de force, and post it on Sunday, or latest by Monday. I mean to begin my analysis for the past week with that sequence, for it was the very best in the whole of Chandra Nandini to date.

You said that the first, loud and clear, and I only agreed with you and proceeded to try and explain why that was so.

Which was why, with a lot of visual assistance from Saraswathi Akka, I dragged in the Greek statuary, not to speak of Michaelangelo, Bernini (no, Sandhya, it was not Botticelli. Botticelli is famous for his The Birth of Venus, and his Primavera. He seems to have done more paintings of women. Bernini's David is ferociously masculine) et al! Plus the planes of Rajat's face and the fine bone structure under the skin which is now visible.

I agree with your scenario @blue.It is neat and most plausible. I had also, when I was trying to explore the options for Sunanda's rahasyamay yojana, felt that and had written above

I think she (Sunanda) wants to get rid of Chandra - remember the highly disapproving look on her face as Nandini is rejoicing when Chandra recovers consciousness? . So she must be planning to use Roopa to seduce him first and then bump him off.

But it seems to me that you are extrapolating this scenario too far, and though it does sound very Ektaish and thus convincing, I am not sure to what extent the part @red will hold.

Besides, though I have been skewering him of late as Chandra 2, I do not agree with you that Chandra is, in this instance, dumb for not suspecting a conspiracy. How could he when he has actually seen the fake Nandini in action, and the real Nandini has earlier committed the cardinal mistake, in anger and frustration, of "accepting" that she loves Malay?

Yes it was. He almost recreated the magic of the Shakespearean Heights . And there was an added boyish helplessness about him combined with angry bitterness that made him look all the more vulnerable and handsome.

Shweta though nowhere near Rajat standards was way above Paridhi who only cried like a girl who failed her mid term exams in the parallel situation.

Chandra Nandini with Roopa is reminding me of 'Woh Kaun Thi' with the look alike creating situations that drive him to despair.

And Shailu, i don't think that angapradarshanams and sashtanga namashkars are in order as BOTH of them suffer here, he due to the twin introduced by HER family and she by him. So there will be mutual apology and forgivance, methinks just like attractions and love is mutual right now. That would make the love story more endearing compared to moral science sessions of the saint and the sinner.

Sandhya when I wrote that comment, I neither saw the episode nor the precap. I have seen both by now. But I still feel this Rupa thing is getting very very messy. For now his jealousy and atrocious behavior can be explained and also forgiven when Roopa and the Badi Ma get revealed before everyone. But before that happens, for how long and how much is Chandra going to be in the free fall mode.

For all the love that Nandini has recently started feeling in her heart for him, she may be completely exhausted and tired of this entire thing after some time and simply withdraw and cocoon herself from him. Even if both are going to mutually apologize and forgive each other, how is it going to help Chandra or his cause if Nandini is going to withdraw herself completely from him?

Chandra is intensely, passionately and madly in love with her. We have all seen how it is almost illogical and insane at several points. He would want her and desire her after the whole revelation happens. Hers is more a caring, affectionate, and companion-like version of love. She will definitely not be able to visualize him as an ideal and affectionate sort of companion for her. So I am a bit apprehensive about how this entire thing is going to play out. The resolution for this does not seem so simple to me.

In a TV serial, these things can turn on a dime, as they say, and to my mind, this Nandini is far more likely to react the way I had predicted in my response to your post about the shashtaanga namaskaarams than to cocoon herself away. Have you seen it? It is there a couple of pages earlier, on page 25.

I was astonished at the total lack of ego and resentment in her in the face of the so many unwarranted and vile accusations that Chandra keeps dumping on her day in and day out.

Do also see my response above to Sri about last night's episode. The kind of non-defence that Nandini puts up for herself last night is something I simply cannot understand.Even at the very end, she says that he has so many reasons to hate her but she has none to hate him.

This Nandini is not going to shut him out once the truth is revealed.At least to me that is the outcome that seems psychologically consistent. She is not a vaayilla poochi (helpless creature) like your Nandini either. I think she is going to save Chandra from Roopa as Prem had predicted, the equivalent of the vishpaan by Jodha, and that will be the turning point.

The kind of response you have thought of would fit in perfectly with your Nandini, who is far gentler and more of an eager, endearing child woman. Methinks that subconsciously, you are importing her into this script.I love your Nandini, but she is not the one in this show.

One last point that should support my thesis. Sunanda and Aapama are surely going to have Nandini kidnapped and removed from circulation. They cannot run the risk of someone seeing both of them at different locations at almost the same time, not to speak of them coming face to face.

This means that Nandini will, till she is reinstated to take the flak at a point they consider it suitable for their purposes -which will be different of the two plotters, and not clear as yet for Sunanda, though I think she wants Chandra killed - will be effectively shielded from the continuous invective that Chandra heaps on her. She deserves that break, the poor kid!

As for the difference in their respective kinds of love, that is just as well. If both of them loved each other madly and passionately, they would tear each other to bits.
