Akka , Shailaja,

Before I could read Akka's reply, when I was going through Shailja's response I exactly felt the same.

I follow her story very closely and she has been playing multiple visuals in her mind for next 20 chapters she has grown attached to her Nandini. So, Shailaja views this Nandini with some prism ? ( which has got flashes of her Nandini ). I also felt that somewhere she is merging hers or analyzing a mixed character.

Akka - Now a days I feel I am getting 10% of how will approach a situational analysis. This is because of reading you for last 2.4 years. YAAAYYY.

@Shailja - I love your story, Nandini and you. I feel that there are some similarities between your Nandini and serial Nandini. They both are very talented. But your Nandini does not have interesting characters like Aapma and Roopa.

😉 😉

I JUST SAW THE EPISODE, AND YES, RAJAT WAS SUPERLATIVE, ALMOST FROM START TO END

WHEN THE DAASI COMES WITH THE OIL FOR DAADI, AND ROOPA HAS ALMOST REACHED MALAY, HE HESITATES BRIEFLY, BUT, FINALLY FOLLOWS ROOPA

I THINK RAJAT'S EXPRESSIONS ALMOST THROUGHOUT WERE SUPERB. HIS ANGST,

AND HIS HELPLESSNESS WERE AMAZINGLY PORTRAYED

AND EVEN SHWETA WAS GREAT

BUT I JUST HOPE THEY HURRY A BIT WITH THE TRACK

True, Aunty. If both of them were equally passionate and intense, they would tear each other to bits. So one has to be mild just as you said for the relationship to survive. This Nandini looks capable of the kind of response that you mentioned earlier and which has been endorsed by
Sandhya as well. But I fail to understand why she has to first box herself in that troublesome , false confession and then take all the saving bravura for boxing herself out of it. She was actually burning all her line of defenses herself. She always has the knack of confessing what she hasn't done for the most flimsy reasons like ending an argument, saving someone, or out of irritation, or just for pure peace of mind. It happened during Satyajit's time, the oil slip by Durdhara when Chanakya actually speaks in her favor, left purely to her it was only going to be a matter of time before she confessed to that crime as well, and during the stolen raj mudra fiasco also if only Avantika had appeared a minute or two later, she would have confessed to that crime as well. I wish the girl had confessed to her love as easily and soon because that happens to be the crux of all that Chandra wants to and is waiting to hear from her. I was perhaps subconsciously imposing my Nandini on this Nandini just like you said. But it happens very naturally when we start living with and imagining certain characters so closely. I did not even realize that I was doing this.

saint and sinner from Sandhya.

🤣

But Sandhya, how fortunate are we to get a love story where the heroine is also madly in love ?

I shudder to think of the earlier one when Jalal comes with so much of emotions, listens to Kanha song , takes Prasad and gets a shoo look and will go away.

This one is going great. Waiting for Bindusara's entry. And I do not want Nandini to have any kid in this story. I want to see how two people can be madly in love with each other without producing a child of their own. Bindu will anyways be Nandini's only.

Sri,

I have added a couple of paras to my response to Shailaja above.

One last point that should support my thesis. Sunanda and Aapama are surely going to have Nandini kidnapped and removed from circulation. As Roopa becomes more and more active, they cannot continue to run the risk of someone seeing both of them at different locations at almost the same time, not to speak of them coming face to face.

This means that Nandini will, till she is reinstated to take the flak at a point they consider it suitable for their purposes -which will be different of the two plotters, and not clear as yet for Sunanda, though I think she wants Chandra killed - will be effectively shielded from the continuous invective that Chandra heaps on her. She deserves that break, the poor kid!

Akka and All,

Everyone raises Qs on why does not clarify things to Chandra ? I have a different take to this.

1. She never expected to fall in love that too totally with Chandra . How Chandra is struggling with the emotional upheaval, she is also having battles.
2. When she was driven to the wall with the constatnt accusations , she blurted in anger Yes I love Malay. Don't we all do it in our everyday lives when driven extremes ? Logic does take a backseat when any emotion runs high. Here jealousy, love, attraction and a certain sense of non-trust plague both of them due to their combined past history. It is ok if they keep screaming at each other with abuses , I feel given their conditions.
3. In y'day episode, he viewpoint is "I have done the Vrat with complete dedication, sincerity and purpose. Chandra does not see the value of it. When this thought is going on in her mind and she does not know Roopa was with Malay, how is she to counter him on logic ?

I think both of them need to settle down in their emotions a bit. Then we can look at some logical conversations .

And y'day Roopa was in a different dress than Nandini - But hamara Chandra does not have time to notice all that. 😉

Shailaja,

The question you have posed is a very pertinent one, and your exasperation with this fatal tendency of this Nandini's is as strong as mine.

But it seems there are people who are like that. If you have not read it already, do get hold of Agatha Christie's Towards Zero, which is one of her best, and see the central character in it, who suffers from this very syndrome. There is also a totally unconnected chapter in the beginning about Supdt.Battle's daughter which introduces us to this kink. You are so interested in psychological twists, so you will love it.

As for her confessing her love for Chandra, she cannot bring herself to do it seeing the way he treats her. It is understandable, it would seem to her like the ultimate humiliation. You are however right when you say that this is exactly what he is craving for, it comes thru in one despairing sentence of his. I will go more into this aspect in my next post.

As for your Nandini, naturally she is part of the warp and woof of your being for now, and so she seeps into any analysis of the show that you undertake. It is only to be expected, and one can easily allow for it as one reads your comments.

By the way, I have added a couple of paras to my response above to you. Here they are.

I said it elsewhere. Reproducing it here.

Whenever there is an occurrence of human spirit to excel and cross the benchmarks, I feel I come alive and the moment is totally worth it. They may be small or big. and it can happen in Sports, Education, Governance , Arts, Movies anywhere.

Some such moments are :

Virat kohli keeps on improving his excellence levels
Marlon Brando doing some fantastic scenes in Godfather
Kamal Hassan doing some unbelievable things in each of his movie
ISRO scientists with a paltry budget keep sending Satellites to Moon and Mars
Path breaking technology idea that takes the world by storm

And then there is Rajat Tokas who creates a magical moment with his Prasanna Raho. And that laughter which had a myriad of emotions ( Helplessness, anger, sadism, eagerness to believe her ?, wishful thinking of whethet it could have been true) etc. Yesterday he gave such a layered performance that ONLY AKKA can do justice to it.

Thank you for your kindness aunty,
Hmm neither I was a silent reader nor I have changed my user id.
Actually I came across with this forum and your post accidentally while I was searching about CN. My first reading was the discussion about Rajat's voice and dubbing and I was totally impressed by your comments. And I saw a post titled as CN 9: A Houdini act under the same name as the author which made me so so amazed. I could spot few things about jalal and JA in your CN posts and that automatically draggedme to your wonderful series of analysis about JA.Now I'm not only a die hardfan of Rajat but also yours.
When it comes to my user id, it represents my name.
My name is Sarika Kumari Amunugama and I am a Sri Lankan. The underline part shows how I composed my unusual username 😃
Ok back to CN
I think confessing chandra's love for nandini is driven far a way now, may be up to 150th episode. Even there, I want her to forgive him quickly for all his misbehavior with her to prevent chandra from transferring solid state to liquid state. I hate to see chandra crying and begging her pardon and eventually make her mahaan. She might do that as she could understand his situation of suspecting her in Durdhara's fake miscarriage.

VERY WELL SAID VIDYA

AND I FULLY AGREE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE SAID ABOUT BINDUSARA

HERE, ONCE THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS ARE SORTED, WE WILL HAVE TWO INDIVIDUALS IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER

IN JA IT WAS ALMOST PAINFUL TO SEE JODHA PRIORITISING EVERYONE ELSE BEFORE JALAL 😆 AND THEN WHEN IT WAS HIS TURN, JALAL GETTING SHOOED AWAY
