The effect that would have given rise to would be something else...

The VFX really does take away part of the magic in a scene

No, you may not presume any such thing! I praise what I like, at times lavishly, and I dissect what I do not, at times sharply and satirically.I enjoy both. And all my regular readers know that, and they like my posts for that very reason, and this whether they agree , or do not agree, with one or the other part of the post.

Satire is a well established literary technique, which is not the same as either cynicism or motivated criticism. This said, my writing is not for everyone; it is an acquired taste. I can see that it is not to yours I am sorry about that, but then that is your absolute right not to like it.

So it was not Mama but Mam! Please call me Shyamala Aunty or Di, whatever you consider age appropriate seeing that I am well over 60, but not Ma'am. I was called that for all of 38 years of my working career and I do not want any more of it!😉
