As per the box-office reports, 'Shaitan' had a poor opening at the box-office and it managed to gross around Rs. 85 lakhs only on the opening day.

It is only prime multiplexes in big cities where the film is managed some audience. Otherwise 'Shaitan' has failed to impress the masses.

The opening day box-office collections for the movie in Mumbai was 35 lakhs, Delhi/UP 20 lakhs and East Punjab 10 lakhs.

Now if you ask me a 80 lakh collection on the opening day, for a movie like Shaitan is very good...as the movie is a small budget movie, it will surely earn profits...the opening may not be extravagant but it is still significant...what do you think guys, agar movie ne pehle din mein 70 to 80 lakhs banaya hai tho the following days it surely might have increased...so i feel the movie will surely make profits, i'am sure of it...😊

yeahh 80 lakhs is good enough 👏👏... for a film which has been completed on a budget of 1 crore or less than that 😊😊... & its just initial collections it will grow on as it gets popular 😃😃😃& till now i have not found a single person who has seen the film & is not appreciating...all who have seen are recommending to watch it out 😳😳😳... 😃😃...it will surely grow on word of mouth publicity 😊😊

yes absolutely my point..everyone who is seeing the movie is liking the movie..not just 'Rajeevians', as 'Rajeevians' we ought to like the movie, but when others appreciate the movie it feels very good. take my sister for example, she had come with me to the movie just because i wanted to see it, after the movie she herself on her own accord said that the movie was nice, Rajeev was good & she was telling her friends to see the movie..the same my other cousin sister went to the movie with her husband & they both were like Rajeev is a brilliant actor...they liked the movie..another friend of mine went to see the movie, he has udated his FB status saying, how good a movie Shaitan was...& many others who have seen the movie have nothing but praises for the movie...& so in short everyone is liking the newness in the movie...it is very welcoming...😊

but surry : d <<<shaitan movie was made 8 Crore so how can recover 8 crore at first week in box office 😕
I think one big movie daamal 2 will released 24 june 2011 so thats time not possible shaitan will make more profits in the box office upcoming week . its not possible this movie income collections more better in upcoming week so I feel 🥺😵

Hmm...Shaitan may not have a massive opening...but the Saturday collections had increased...and its hoped to increase only!!

Well, the film is surely not for the masses...not ppl of all kinds will watch it...but then whoever has watched the film has kinda liked it. Its not a waste of money for them...And I think thats how a success of a movie shud be determined!! 😊

Rahi baat collections ki...we can just hope it gets better...but in whichever way...the film is gud (& not sum crappy bakwas) and Rajeev was praised!! 😉

yes its a very good thing and if we exclude today then the movie was still there till this whole thursday to earn more collections😊😊
