saw actually in the end they took the statement where it was said that all of them(4) are innocent so... that was my confusion

Yes... in the end they said that all 4 of them were innocent and it was a plan by shiv pandit (unable to recall the name of his character)...so inspite that they r dead...as there names are in the case so they claimed them to be innocent.
