Absolutely! Season 7 and season 8 are boring. That's why I couldn't watch those two seasons. I watched 5 or 6 episodes of season 7. There was no Elena. There was no Katherine. Damon wasn't as dangerous as before. The concept of Heretics was definitely interesting. But the characters (Heretics) weren't intriguing. They were kind of flat characters. The main problem is that there was no strong villain in that season. Also, the makers focused on Lily and her boyfriend in the episodes I watched, which seemed uninteresting to me. According to me, the first 4 seasons were the most amazing! They were incredibly good! Season 5 and season 6 were good too.

I only watched first 4 seasons, then I gave up because after the fiorst 2 seasons the story was boring and there was barely any SS for Delena, the main reason for me to watch. I actually liked Katharine more than Elena as a character and I liked her with Stefan.

Nina Dobrev's performance was phenomenal as Katherine! In season 5, there was a really strong villain named Silas. Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) played the role. Silas was Stefan's doppelganger. In season 5, Enzo also entered the show and I like him. He played a major role in season 6. I don't really consider Paul to be a very good actor. But the character, Silas was very powerful. So, I liked season 5 and season 6. An evil and ruthless villain, Kai was also there to spice up the show in season 6.

Yes, Amara was his beloved in Ancient Greece. He was a powerful witch at that time. Amara looked like Elena. Nina Dobrev played four characters in the show. But his fiance, Qetsiyah came between Amara and Silas.

Amara is a flawed character. She betrayed Qetsiyah. But she's definitely not evil like Katherine. So, I think she falls in the category of Elena.

4th is Tatia and she was the love interest of both Michaelson brothers (Klaus and Elijah) in the late 10th century and early 11th century.
