Shahid and Priyanka are the new Bollywood 'Romeo Juliet'.

We didn't quite say that the two are seeing each other, but 'Romeo Juliet' simply happens to be their next project.

Vishal Bhardawaj, who is proved himself at being a pro when it comes to Desi adaptation of Shakespeare's plays, is going to attempt the world's most romantic story 'Romeo Juliet'.

Shahid was signed a month ago by Vishal to play the character of 'Romeo' and the creative director has been busy hunting for his Juliet for some time now. Kareena, who sure got a taste of Vishal's creativity with Desi 'Othello' AKA 'Omkara', has been expressing her desire to work with the filmmaker on his next as well.

'Romeo Juliet' being a tragic romantic subject, Vishal felt that it might not be a good idea to have Shahid and Kareena together as the two are still bitter over their break-up.

Priyanka Chopra is being strongly considered for the role of Desi Juliet as the actress is talented and if she is signed for the project then, this will be Shahid-n-Priyanka's first movie as co-stars which could very well be a USP of the movie besides being a Vishal Bhardawaj flick.

In the past, Kareena has expressed that she is not a big fan of Priyanka and now, she has one more reason to dislike her.

As for fans, we are just excited to see Priyanka go, "Romeo Romeo, oh my sweet Romeo."
