It's 'Emperor Rajnikant', says Big B

Southern sensation Rajnikant may have gone ahead and said that if he was the King of Cinema, then Amitabh Bachchan was the Emperor, but the Big B will have none of it. He has gone ahead and proclaimed Rajnikant as the Emperor. According to the Big B, "Rajni is phenomenal. The largest, the best and truly the boss." It is ridiculous to compare him to the Southern legend, he felt.

Amitabh has gone on record to say that even though he abhors epithets, he would like to make an exception in this case and call Rajnikant the 'Emperor.' Incidentally, Amitabh has a small guest appearance in Sivaji—The Boss. It happened because the producer of Sivaji brought the rights of a film starring the Big B, which had run into financial problems and hence was stopped. In return, Bachchan was required to make a guest appearance in Sivaji. In his own humble manner, the Big B has refused to be compared to Rajnikanth and feels there are no two ways about who the real Emperor is.

Big B is right...Rajni is the biggest Indian Star-Big B is thwe greatest Indian(In fact in thw world) actor ever. Thats it.

I disagree , Rajini doesnt need to butter up, the guy doesnt even bother to butter up, he never does it and will never do it. If u see , it was he who when compared to big B with all humility said it would be an insult to BIg B to be compared to him coz he is just a king and amitabh the emperor, now thats humility.

I also disagree that amitabh is the gretaest indian in the world, c'mon there are so many who deserve that place not a bollywood superstar.............

Rajini going by the stats is the biggest star in terms of value ........and his Sivaji is breaking all records already.....

overall both of them are great in thier own right , not good to compare them , also both of them are friends and thats nice to know

oh yeah , to reac such heights coming from that background is truely amazing. My mother who is from bangalore has seen him as a conductor.

He is extremely spiritual, also he has done so much service and the best part is his humility, being a superstar there isnt an iota of attitude in him or star nakhras.

He doesnt even have the cliched " looks" that is associated with standard Bollywood moviees but the adulation that he gets not only from the south but all over is phenomenonal.

I dont consider him to be a great actor coz Kamal hasan takes that spot but he is a true superstar.

Rajini and publicity?May i say for Sivaji he did not even give one interview. He never ever speaks to the media,he does not attend his own premiers. The only interview he gave recently was to NDTV for 1 min where he said it was wrong 2 compare him with Amitabh as he was an emperor.

The last among all the movie star's in India who wants publicity is Rajini. Thats why people like him so much.

I never said Rajni is not humble-He is one of the most humble actors I have seen.
N I do believe AB to be the greatest actor around-If I do I must have a reason to be thinking so.
Rajni is not a good actor in my opinion but definitely no b'wood actor hhas seen such fan following.

well looks like u havent watched all his movies, its not true that he is all style . He started out his career as a villain and one must watch his old movies esp K.Balachander movies which had rajini as the villain against kamal. He stole the show, he is a very good actor. But the problem is that ever sibnce he became a star, people wanted to see him as a star and nothing else and thats why he is given such roles.

I disagree that amitabh is the greatest actor, he is big Bollywood superstar but not the best actor and thats my honest opinion. I think Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, lately Irffan Khan are very much better than him. I am not saying he isnt good, he is but he is def not the best or greatest.

Kamal hassan any day takes the honor along with Mohanlal as the best actors along with Naseer .

No offense to AB fans, I like him but he isnt the best actor for me
