Yash Raj Films who are known for maintaining secrecy about their film plots will soon announce their next 'Chak De India' starring Shah Rukh Khan, after the release of 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'. According to industry sources, Shah Rukh Khan will play the role of an Indian hockey player Mir Ranjan Negi in the movie. Significantly, Shah Rukh hasn't ever played such a character before though he isn't new to the sport. He has been a college level player of hockey. In 'Chak De India' he will act as a hockey coach to girls. This is to recall that Negi had played a goalkeeper of the Indian hockey team during the Asian Games 1982, and faced a defeat with the score of 1-7 against Pakistan. To avenge this humiliating experience, he vowed to coach the National Women's hockey team that later won Gold at the Manchester Commonwealth games. Shah Rukh will give hockey coaching to girls who would most probably be newcomers in the industry. There may be some reason to assign this role to SRK. Yes, it's said that Shah Rukh resembles Negi's look besides being a college level hockey player Negi has confirmed that the movie is being made on his life.
After all, he has once accompanied the 'Chak De India' unit to Australia to guide them on the hockey field during the shoot. 'Chak De India' is directed by Shimit Amin of the 'Ab Tak Chhappan' fame. Vidya Malvade will play opposite Shah Rukh. Being a Yashraj film, the music of 'Chak De India' will be released during the screening of their 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom', it is learnt.
