I tend to agree as many people like the anonymity that this place provides and even I might be little apprehensive about giving my phone number to any forum.
However, it can be an optional feature which gets you some sort of "verified" badge that this person has validated their phone and also get some extra features. And it can also help them retrieve their account in the event they no longer have access to their email and have forgotten their password.
With the dangers of online and mix of other social media's I think it's important to do this especially since people cannot be trusted.
There are creeps on India forums which are getting away with all sorts for years.
This mix networking has become dangerous.
And IF needs to make sure we have a system here that is not used to give platform to abusers.
Also you need to block people using Vpn blockers such as IpVanish etc.
With such software these Mids are playing away.
Daebak.. we give phone numbers to fb and twitter. I do trust that the information shared here can be kept private and not used for marketing purposes.
You had to come down hard in hate mongers 10 years ago. Same thing is happening now. It is not fan groups but personal attacks which are being made. You need to implement the same severity now Vijay.
If people want to be a part of this site by sharing their number fair enough. It should be your decision not a people's choice.
Most here have no idea what's going on.
This will not stop until real actions are taken.
