Forum is not balanced

---- Personal attacks and bullying are on the rise

---- People cannot objectively put forth their opinions without others getting offended

--- Lack of interest in Bollywood as whole

---- Too much of interest in speculating box-office numbers and not enough on reviews/quality/CINEMA

--- Some amazing members have left

These are just some grievances I have, putting them forth for all to discuss. I do think the forum is amazing, but it's not balanced.

Thoughts???

Vijay /Jayshree can you do something about the harassment or bullying aspect.

Maybe for a while you shouldn't allow any newbies to join. It join process should include a data check.

Also, may I suggest that new members are not bullied or put down which has become the trend unless they are themselves abusive or obvious MIDs

You know, I have noticed that abusive newcomers are equated to neutral ones which just implies a lack of judgement

People should report abusive ones of course

Meanwhile, people like atominis who were always neutral and well-informed had to leave bcoz of ganging up against her

Some Mids have learnt. Pretend to be good whilst working up to groupie stage, so u are not suspected.

That's true

well, I would recommend data check for that and that too at frequent intervals

It just take a bad apple or few.

This is a discussion forum but ppl make it their lives.

No one cares for the forum as much as they do.

Ppl don't need to be here, and soon enough..this platform will not exist.

There are differences between having an opposing opinion, criticising, questioning, accusing, bashing and demeaning...and , anyway, a verbal expression always lacks the visual contact...I think, therefore, the way of writing is as much important as the expressed opinion.

I don't think that it would be fair to hinder newbies to come; I favour the open way to voice concern about their behaviour, when perceived as negative for a healthy discussion (which one can do also with groupies a.s.o, imo).

Edit: Certainly, the forum is not my life, but it is the only place I really like to go to discuss Hindi/Indian filmindustry. I would like to be able to do it as long as possible...to me, it's the most balanced place I've encountered til now.

I really wanna know how to have a thread or discussion without mentioning Box office numbers/collection/ ATBB /HGOTY . So I can teach it to half this forum.

8/10 members ONLY speak in box office language. Let them carry their discussion in THAT thread.

Tomorrow if we post a picture of an actress and say I liked her work here, I'll have 4 comments under it saying "oh she didn't even gave a high grossing film, she sucks".

Like they have ABSOLUTELY no clue about a film's cast, Music, lyricist, writers name(obviously) or even director.

They're the ones who ruin our discussions. They only know numbers.

Go join box office India or koimoi.
