your post and statement itself is contradictory. Are you saying nepotism is good?

@bold are also in the category of nepotism

Again someone who didn't read. I wasn't even calling nepotism bad. Just don't lump the privilege of nepo babies with the difficult journey of those lower on the social scale but still had access.

It ain't the same.

No, nepotism isn't good or bad. It simply exists. However, there's a huge difference between the nepotism of having your family and connections curate your career for you and using contacts to get yourself an interview/audition.

But of course, anything to conflate the two and reduce someone's hard-earned success to *also nepotism.*

I suspect you know it already, and this has been said multiple times in the thread, so forgive me if I don't engage further.

well everyone in the forum can see that I am newbie, it was unnecessary of you to mention that as unnecessary your current debate over nepotism and access stuff is. Anyway… about someone’s hard earned success thing…. isnt success hard to earn for the nepo babies also? There are a lot of nepo in the industry but not everyone is successful. Those who are successful, worked hard and became successful. Vicky is just one of them. Maybe he got less access than other actor’s kids but still his journey wouldn’t come across this much without his father’s support.

I think vicky's or ranveer's nepotism people are mostly ok with... Bec its about just getting your foot in... An introduction, a beginning... After that their success is built completely on the back of their hard work and talent.. We can all imagine asking our parents to network to get us an interview or a meeting...

... But the curated careers of absolute talentless hacks is what irritates people and hurts the industry in the long run.. What is even worse is throwing out or replacing actual actors from the movies that they have worked hard to earn, paid reviews praising the non actors you the sky, blinds targeting outsiders etc etc..
