It's all varying degrees of nepotism.

Pls don’t tell IF people about nuance. Or most people in the world actually. They don’t understand it, want to understand it or know of it. Anyone who has access is also seen as a “NepoBaby” by them.

Hahahaha IKR. And then people whine about nepotism but believe you me, these same people would be the same if not worse, if THEY had these advantages!!!

The whole issue is nuanced & people just don’t understand that so why bother.

In a sense he is a nepo baby. Whether opportunities came because of his father, I highly doubt. But who knows. It's quite obvious other nepos with bigger families have had the big launch, no auditions, and are still around after being complete trash.

So yeah, maybe his dad is in the industry to group Vicky with Jhanvi or Ranbir Kapoor is just not it!

Quite an entertaining thread.

As usual some of the comments are just without any info.

Does Vicky being a nepokid makes him less talented? Haven't talented artists come through nepotism in the history of hindi cinema?

The way folks here are trying too hard to shrug off his nepolinks is funny.

Vicky got acess to the hindi film industry through nepotism but whatever he is today is due to his own talent and hardwork like other talented nepokids or insiders.

Here is some info for those who were just waffling about Ajay.

@Hearmeroar: Ajay, a nepokid was launched by a close friend of Veeru Devgn, Kuku Kohli who is Aruna Irani's husband. He had worked under Raj Kapoor in many films and with Sunny Deol in films like Betaab,Arjun.

Ajay himself has gone on record saying that he was

18 or 19 yr old college student who was one day informed that he would be acting in a movie by a month because Kuku Kohli liked his photos while visiting Veeru Devgn's office, no audition,no screen test, nothing.

Veeru Devgn was a prominent action director who had worked for many big banners in the 70s and 80s with whom he had forged good relationships.He had many assistants working under him. He used to take Ajay's profile pics to all the producers he worked with.It was his dream to see Ajay as moviestar.

Ajay's early films were with directors and producers who worked with then stars/superstars Sridevi,Jeetendra,Sunny Deol,Sanjay Dutt and also included superhit movie Saajan's producer and director.

In hindi film industry if you make good conection or have close relationships then especially those days there were chances of getting launched regardless of whose son/daughter you are.

Let's not forget Salman launched his bodyguard's son recently.
