Cirkus Records Very Low First Day Box Office Collections

Cirkus has turned out to be the biggest shocker post the pandemic with collections in the 6-6.25 crore nett range as the audience just refused to come out. The bigger shocker is that it has failed to perform in Maharashtra, Gujarat, CI and Rajasthan as these places record collections as bad as the bigger centres. Its easier to say now but the trailer of the film went wrong and and how as these places should be out performing just for the genre but the mass audience has seen it as a film not for them.

The first day collections of Cirkus are less than Raksha Bandhan, Thank God, Ek Villain Returns and Bhediya and although some of these films opened on holidays it still puts the opening of Cirkus into perspective. Cirkus is not an event film in the zone of Sooryavanshi, 83 and Brahmastra as the its not a huge film in terms of budget and scale but because of a holiday release and the track record of Rohit Shetty it came with bigger expectations than most films this year

The trailer of the film limited these expectations but with the holiday period and genre of the film there was hope it could still do some sort of decent number but it was not to be. The brick bats will out for Rohit Shetty as they come out even when the film is a HIT because of the zone of his films and here its a failure so the media will make up for all those years of hurt and getting it wrong.

There is the third part of Singham 3 next so hopefully that will set the record straight again. As for Cirkus its a project gone wrong in implementation and even with holiday period there is not much chance unless some sort of miracle happens on Sunday.
