I don’t care for what you think of Amitabh. Your views. You can do without essays. I ain’t reading em. But your choice if you still want to write them.

Ok I am deviating from my promise. But this is my last comment. No I don’t know about them.

As others have replied to you, not every woman can easily walk out of marriage. Especially after having kids or if she married for security in first place or suffered abuse and threats earlier.

Plenty of reasons why women never walk out or speak. Zeenat Amaan also tolerated abuse from Mazhar Khan all life despite having all resources to walk out and dump him.

Reena Roy, Poonam Dhillon, Rati Agnihotri also suffered domestic abuse.

So did Dimple Kapadia.

Just because actresses did not walk out, it does not mean they never suffered.

I am not saying Abhishek is a wife beater or Bachchan seniors beat Ash. But I am responding to point on walking out or tolerating or not.

That said, I agree Aishwarya chose what she did. She knowingly married in this family. So yes she is not entirely a victim caught unaware here.

The Bachchans were initially not like this. They used to support Ash. Used to go to Cannes with her. They all went to New York to attend her Hollywood premiere of Pink panther. They went to Padmashri awards ceremony to cheer for her. And many more such things initially. They seem to have grown indifferent/hostile only over the last few years especially. So let's stop blaming Ash saying "this is what she wanted"

LOL at misogynist birds claiming someone should not be called sexist and misogynist despite his obvious problematic behaviour just because he is icon.

LOL! Rajesh Khanna was bigger superstar than Amitabh but he was a wife beater and paedo to marry underage Dimple when he was 35. And he will be called so.

Just as Dharmendra is called out for misogyny, philandering, using women and religion at own whims despite his being icon and Sanjay Dutt will always be misogynist, criminal, druggie no matter how iconic he is.

Salman is also iconic but he is bully, woman beater, animal killer, criminal and will be called out no matter how iconic he is.

Being iconic does not mean one cannot be called out. Amitabh is also communal and a genocide inciting maniac who incited mobs against Sikhs in 1984. He is also tainted in Bofors, Panama papers, Paradise leaks, illegal land deals at Barabanki. His affairs are known. Icon my foot!

Laughable to use Kabir's doha to defend tainted scum like Amitabh who would be in jail if not for political links. He is also elitist, promotes superstitions, uses and throws people at whim. Hardly did quality cinema in peak years except Hrishi da films.

His films too promoted misogyny. Do aur do Paanch for eg has him say a dialogue taking digs at menstruation saying tabiyat aurto ki kharab hoti hai har mahine, mard ki nahi.

So much for icon who cannot be called out.

Defenders of such icons love them because they relate to them. This is evident with rants in other threads abusing his wife for looks, defending affairs and abusing feminists, taking digs at both married and unmarried women by same sexist user in habit of using crude language for women.

Which is fine. They could be for all we know. But those gossip thread had some of the nastiest thing written about women and kids based on someone’s imagination. Someone lurking here picks it up and runs with the rumors. This is internet. It stays there. What if that kid grows up and reads about it?

what starts as your “harmless fun” ends up being a ground for beyond disgusting theories.

Now you may not do that. But There’s no stopping low lives from making new IDs and mudslinging. I hate it when kids are involved. I hope and wish those threads never return.

Agreed. Some really nasty gossip there, to the point where I wanted to stop visiting altogether. It was pretty much only about who slept with whom. I do not endorse that one bit, please know. I also know that a few members there made up vicious things to get attention so people would go “ ooh tell us more “.

I never claim to know anything . I do not have “ sources in media “

Nor do I claim to have friends in the industry. I hate the “trust me bro” gossip.
I do speculate on things that I see and observe I am careful with my words or at least I’d like to believe so.
But I do not also like to be told to shut up or keep my speculations to myself. I cannot take responsibility for what others say . When I see a conversation turning nasty, I step away. I think we can all learn to be a little careful with what we say but I disagree that we owe anything to any celeb kid.

Bachchans were always like this. This is what happened to Jaya. This is what was done to Shweta. Ash herself was paraded to babas or married to trees. Or called her domesticated or said she is quiet, she listens and stands behind. Did Jaya not have issues with Ash's scenes in D2 and JA with HR?

They pretended to be okay with her as long as they hoped to cash on her stardom or hoped Abhishek would succeed after Guru became successful.

Once Abhishek's career nose dived they began showing true colours further. They had fits when Ash had romantic scenes with RK in ADHM.

They no longer promote her films post Robot.
