Regarding the other post you tagged me, nowhere have I mentioned Jaya in any of my post 🙂 but still I want to answer. I don't think Jaya deserves any kind of appreciation or credit for living with a cheater husband for the sake of her in-laws and children.

That is the whole problem...I do not know if she loves Abhishek or what...if she is doing it for Aaradhya or waiting for the old bachchan couple to move on...

to have all the power and respect she is working toward ... while not getting any support from husband and in laws...

It just hurts as a fan... to see her stand alone even though she is the member of star studded Bollywood family.

I remember something Salman Khan said when they were dating...he said she is miss world but at heart she is a simple indian girl who values family very much and has very good values.

And I think that tells you alot about the situation. That is just how she is and they took advantage of her values...

I think every a new generation comes to BW things get better for women. So these Sr AB will die and many actors current generation are dumb but many aren’t as criminals like Sr AB. He lived in his era and the women were also conditioned to be that way. Many women like Shweta who herself had experienced the society pressure then go on to hate another woman like Ash. Many women dislike one another and abuse one another in misogynist households and cultures. That’s why patriarchy has survived so long. Many women uphold and maintain the same misogyny because they were conditioned that way. They try to compete with one another because they feel powerless otherwise. Most moms in patriarchal families are obsessed with their sons and threatened by their son spouses because they feel they will have less power if their son is taken away. Many such women derive their power upon the men they are related to si tend to abuse the women around them. I myself have experiences most misogyny from women. It doesn’t justify their wrongs but just explains their behavior. Of course, there’s also the fact that many Nand and SIL tend to have problems with one another too sometimes.

I honestly think that Ash genuinely does love ABJr. She is always out to support him fully. She probably dimmed her own light in order to NOT outshine him (which she does anyway, without even trying) explicitly. ABJr, on the other hand seems to have taken her support and adulation as a sign that he's the bigger star.. after all, he has been the bachchan's laadla beta all these years... all that laad pyaar must have gone to his head and given him a false sense of achievement and stardom. I feel like he has become very conceited because of all this.

As for her equation with the in-laws, I think after Aaradhya was born, Ash became a sort of a helicopter mom...extremely protective and possessive of her. This behaviour is sure to piss off any grand parent...that's probably what happened between Jaya/ABSr and Ash. However, why they never mention Aaradhya anymore is beyond me. You may dislike you DIL, which is the epitome of being regressive, but atleast show some compassion towards your grand child. Add to that the fact that Ash is the biggest celeb in the household, even bigger than ABSr, given her international fandom, they must be livid.

I remember years ago, reading an article about how the whole bachchan clan went to Cannes right after Ash-Abhi's wedding and they were pissed because the paps were only interested in clicking Ash's photos, not theirs. I mean, isnt it obvious though? She's been the international brand ambassador for Longines, Loreal for SO long...plus a Miss World. Paps obviously know her more. I can only imagine the stress and burden that Ash has had on her shoulders all these years to not shine at all or risk pissing off her family....she should never have fallen in love with AB Jr.

I think we all agree that Aishwarya is the most oppressed, abused, destitute, beechari, helpless woman ever. She's also a saint and a pure angel. It's amazing how she successfully manages to portray herself as a victim in every situation. That's quite a talent!

As a girlfriend, she had problems with all her boyfriends. As an actress, she had problems with all other actors/ actresses. All her breakups and her fights are famous. Now that she is married, she has a problem with her in-laws. Not only her in-laws, she doesn't even get along with her brother's family.

Her in-laws have supported her immensely, even when she was dating Abhishek and after she became Bachchan Bahu. But did she ever thank them?

She has never promoted Abhishek's work. She has never supported or promoted Amitabh's work. She never acknowledges Jaya, Shweta, Shweta's kids or even her brother's wife and kids. All she does is talk about herself, her parents, and her daughter. So why does her stan get annoyed when her in-laws give her the same treatment she has been giving to them?

That's a new one lol. Aish fans can go to any length to portray her as a helpless victim and Salman as the villain. I've never read any story about Ash family meeting with Thackerys and requesting protection but her PR cleverly creates imaginary stories which are 90% lies/exaggeration.

Aishwarya married Abhishek for Bachchan name and she cashed Bachchan name extremely well. You have to give credit to this woman for the way she used everyone in her way to get to the top.

I'm not a fan of Aish the actress if that's what you're asking. And her butter-won't-melt-in-my-mouth behavior in the beginning irritated me no end. Still does.

I also agree she can even now walk out and live on her own with her kid. It's her choice not to.

None of the above changes the fact of Bachchan misogyny or Salman's criminality or Vivek's nastiness.

Why do such accomplished women pick such losers for their partners? I'd like to know. It's not just Aish. Look at someone like Beyonce.
