I'm guessing that in brahmastra its a little bit of both.. On one side its not a disaster like many of us thought it would be... On the other side the producers are pushing the worldwide collections to attract more audiences and positioning it as a bigger hit than it 'currently' is.

But I'm honestly not seeing the numbers or critical acclaim that would justify a part 2.

Sequels gets green lit for much less

And based on the general perception, it looks like people are indeed curious about what happens inn Part 2 and where they will take the story. Disney/Dharma would be foolish to let go of this opportunity to score big at the BO - they just need to make sure the movie lands within the next 2 years while it is still relevant and have a control on the budget this time

Thought this was a good watch.

Watched this movie on the first weekend. Enjoyed it as a theatrical experience, it was fun while it lasted. Though have to specifically mention how bad Alia was. Did they shoot it after Soty? I could not believe her acting was of Tara Sutaria level (In my defense, I haven't watched her act but saw a scene from Heropanti)

Bg score was dope though, amplified the movie viewing experience.

watched it last night here in US. Theater was pretty empty, barely 10 of us considering it was a weekday maybe.

Anyways, coming to the movie - What a disaster! They had this massive budget but it all comes down to good screenplay and script which was horrible in this case. What a waste of such great VFX and opportunity to tell a great mythological based story. Script felt like it was all over the place, no proper character arcs and no reasoning behind so many things happening. And god what awful dialogues! Reviews were not kidding or over exaggerating when it came to movie's dialogues.

Ranbir and Alia were bad like plain bad. I am not even sure why Alia's character was in the movie. She had zero chemistry with Ranbir which is bad considering they were trying so hard to sell the love astra 🤪. The dialogues did her dirty the most out of everyone in the movie. My husband who is not on social media and is not aware of any memes was tired of Alia's constant Shivaaaa jaap. her kaun ho tum was max annoying!

Why were they trying to sell Ranbir as some naujawan when he didnt look like one at all. He was such a miscast in a movie that was supposed to be grand. he just doesnt suit such characters. Neither does he has the right physique or stature to carry such characters. It literally looked like bunny from YJHD was pasted in the world of Astraverse 😆(my hubby's words not mine).

hubby was also complaining that he didnt get to see Deepika more instead wasted screentime on showing Alia and her annoying character more 😆

Mouni was easily the best among the lot. She did great in all her scenes and was consistent throughout. *Spoiler* She also held her own with her scenes with SRK and Nagarjuna.

Big B was wasted as well. what a shame to have such a massive superstar in the movie with shoddy dialogues and screenplay 😔

Nagarjuna did well with whatever was given to him.

SRK was truly truly missed on the big screen. *Spoiler* He looked so charming as Mohan and opened the film with a bang. ☺️

His dialogues were crappy too but his screen presence was amazing to make it up.

*spoiler* Ayan did Ranbir dirty by introducing his character with SRK's scene 😆 SRK looked so much more charming than Ranbir

Climax was meh and love triumphs everything literally screamed babaji ka thullu to the audience 😆😔

I am excited to find out more about Dev and Amrita's story and that is my only takeaway from the movie

I watched the movie again last night ; it was Tuesday discount day 😬

I still stick with my 1st take on movie

Only wanna say there are moments of visual delight , the rest didn’t work for me at all 🙏 nothing , zero !

For such a big movie only few moments work ?
