I know many people didn't like those films and it's fine!! It's their opinion and i respect that.

In the same way I gave my opinion regarding the movie collections, but the way you responded by calling the other movies shit, I didn't like it.

I don't have a problem with the movie, I watched the film and I didn't like certain portions, but i m glad that at least bollywood was taking initiative to do something different. The only problem I have is the way they are projecting the collections. Thts all

So these are the net figures of India collection. Surprising why it isn't doing that well in South India despite Rajamouli presenting it. Again a sign for Bollywood to stop running after success of South films.

17 Crores for 5 days over 4 South Indian languages is too low.

Saaho had worldwide collection of 433 crs and was called a flop.BOI was not even interested in the very good trend in the weekend and kept comparing to Baahubali 2 which was a franchise.

Now BOI gets spanked everyday these days, for the gymnastics they have to do daily and it is not lost on any one.

There is a 10-15 crore difference between BOI and critics like Abhishek, Sumit & Rohit. That’s why I trust Himesh. He is posting somewhere in the middle. Even Taran’s numbers (posted on Bollywood Hungama) is not as inflated like Abhishek, Rohit, Sumit etc.

Sharing my 2 cents. As a big fan of this genre (including Amish, Ashwin sanghi, dan brown books and marvel, Harry Potter, lotr movies), was quite keen on watching this one in theatre. Also a fan of Alia though don't like Ranbir much (liked him a lot in his yjhd and bachna ae haseeno days but find him insipid now).

I liked the non love story part of the movie somewhat but even my usual liking for alia could not make me care one bit for her character or their story. the visuals were great and beautiful to see on big screen but expected better story though there were few good moments. Wish Ayaan had brought alive any existing story in the genre or hired a better writer. Didn't like any actor much - that's what rrr, baahubali, kgf, pushpa and even bhool bhulaiya did better. They played up the character strength and heroism (or swag or charisma) of their actors. I loved loved prabhas and junior ntr, ram charan and became a fan of Karthik Aryan. Except Srk of course.

Don't know or care much about this movie's economics but with iron man movie, iron man character became bigger than that movie and with similar successes that followed with captain America, Thor and then avengers it grew into the franchise it is today. Not sure how one can declare that they are creating a franchise without doing that bit by bit.

I believe the box office numbers of this movie. It is a spectacle and people would want to try it out. But it cannot become very big success because it doesn't make u love any character and is not worth repeat viewing.

Well, to take a pause from the BO-discussion, I write something else 😉

Went watching the movie on Monday and again yesterday...such a theatre experience I was happy to get twice (though only presented once in the theatres, but in different cities).

The first time, I was busy to read the subtitles (well, not Alias - after a certain time).

This time I could digest everything without getting distracted.

I will not repeat what everybody who has watched the movie criticised, I just want to support the making of - at least - a 2nd part firmly hoping that (not only) Ayan takes in consideration that an extraordinary VFX spectacle becomes shallow when the rest goes more and more downhill after a very good beginning of approximately one hour (even Amitji's gravitas was let down by what was written...).

There is soooo much scope in this Astraverse and even more possibilities to explore it ... damn the costs, a good pre-production work, a good planning and good work ethic from the concerned persons is what matters, too!
