Dear Arsalan,

Besmirching his entire singing career for being “monotonous” is really inconsiderate when you know that he was diagnosed with throat cancer at the peak of his career, don’t you think?!

I was recently introduced to his songs from the early 90’s mostly composed by Anu Malik and they wouldn’t have been the same, had KS not lend his amazing and distinct voice to those songs. No one else, neither Sonu nor Udit, can give songs the kind of beauty he gives with his voice alone.

I agree that Tu Mile Dil Khile is an amazing song however. Kuch na kaho is so so.

kumar sanu rubbishes the news the thorat cancer news he said its hoax he is fit and fine and kumar sanu singing for anu malik or nadeem shravan or anand miland had same range same expression his singing pakagae was based on monotonous feel and voice modulation, like for sonu nigam you can identify different shades when he is singing qawali , ghazal , or a song like Allah Maaf Kare from desi boyz or something emotional as abhi mujh me kahin or kal ho na ho , or westrenized touch like Sun zara soniye sun zara, with more energetic songs like All Iz Well from 3 idoits to something like loofer songs Aslam bahi from love kaliya kuch bhi karega to more erotic touch to love songs like jal jal ke dhuwan horhe hain , so basically one can identify a singer changing his style of singing to each song , With kumar sanu songs his entire carrer was based on doing hey heyyyyyyyyyyyyy la laaaaaaaaaaaaa and that 90 percent of him

Not just 1994, but even the whole 90's...what a song...what a composition

I can't choose between this song and Pehla Nasha as my favourite song from the 90's decade

I watched this movie a lot later when I was like 10 or so and for some reason I loved it.. 😆

Why are you expecting everyone to be "versatile" like Sonu anyway? I don't think there is anything wrong with mastering your craft and playing your strengths. You don't have to be a jack of all trades to be recognized as a top notch singer if you are the best at what you do. Replace Kumar Sanu's voice with someone else's and the songs would totally lose their charm and appeal cuz much of it relied on his singing style too .... he has a truly gifted voice that takes on a life of its own with the right composition.
