Why? Only the first Matrix movie was well received, the other two already were lackluster and then there was no new movie for 20 years basically.

The directors haven't made anything good for a long time as well so it was no surprise that the new movie sucked too. No way did it make 70 crore in India..

There is no HBO streaming in India

It made 4.6 crores lifetime in India in theaters.

India collections around $600000 or so.

This is a DISASTER! I am shocked. What went so wrong? Even in Gulf spiderman was houseful for a month and there were hardly 4 people in the cinema i saw Matrix in..I thought people still cared for Matrix..PC said she would even play a furniture in it..but guess people don't care about Matrix anymore

There was hardly any buzz. It’s like Anil Kapoor promoting that Tom Cruise movie like he was the hero when he was there for barely a minute 😭

PC never said she was the hero of the movie, when she announced matrix there itself she clarified with a "small, excited little fish in the huge cinematic pond" reference.

It was obviously super embarrassing the way PC was acting in promotions and promoting it so aggresively when she literally appears for 4 min..would have been less embarrassing had she promoted it keeping her role in mind..

But the collections are even more embarrassing. People don't flock to cinemas for PC..her HW and recent BW duds are enough to show that but the collections are just shocking for such a big franchise..

Matrix was huge. And this Matrix is terribly bad. Even Neo and Trinity love scenes seemed forced.

And PC had blink n miss role. Don't know why she agreed. May be to be a part of the blockbuster franchisee. Unfortunately it bombed.
