I think people forget that the original Matrix released in 1999. There was nothing, literally nothing, like it in US movies before that. It was groundbreaking. It isn’t fair to judge the original against all the stuff that came after. In fact some of the stuff that came after may never have been greenlit at all if Matrix hadn’t opened the door. Tobey Maguire Spiderman came in 2002, Ironman which really launched the Marvel universe didn’t come out until 2008. So if you watched the Matrix after you have seen a few Marvel films I get why you were underwhelmed and all I can say is if you had been there watching it in a theater in 1999 it would have been a very very different experience.

Having said that I agree the sequels were all downhill and the Matrix 4 is 10% nostalgia and 90% meh. Even that doesn’t take away the impact and legacy of the original.

I despise marvel movies. And I hated the matrix. These are not correlated in any way.

Priyanka barely promoted this movie, she was shooting for Citadel until mid-December and the Matrix 4 released a week later. Lol she did cast promotions which was likely required of her… Idk how that’s embarrassing but ok.

The first Matrix movie was amazing . None of the following sequels matched that. It changed how action was portrayed in the Hollywood movies and inspired a generation of hackers.

Not true at all, she did a lot of promotion for the movie despite having a 10 minute role. It seems kind of silly, usually the leads to the promotion but here Priyanka seemed to be everywhere: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=priyanka+chopra+interview+matrix

Agreed the first Matrix movie is a masterpiece. The action was groundbreaking and the story was perfectly executed (classic Chosen one story but done in an engaging way).

The sequels were lacking in comparison, just convoluted for the sake of it and all the Zion shit sucked & the characters just became kind of one note. But this latest Matrix movie is the worst by far, feels like the director didn't even want to make it. The action is worse than in the first Matrix movie..

She promoted for a week as was required of her… so did many people in the cast, the leads promoted more. If you saw Priyanka everywhere then good lol

It's different when an actor hypes themselves up, this is just promotion by WB. Anyway its better for PC anyway that she didn't have a big role because the movie sucked
