I know you didn't, but it's for those who find it embarrassing etc etc. Anyone who has grown up watching any kind of franchise movie gets the chance to be in the next instalment, especially if it's a role like Sati would definitely take it.

LOL

I am all for 2/3/4 min roles..do them..esp if they pay you well but you will only look like an idiot when you appear on 20 talk shows for a 4 min role..all the other cast members even extended promoting it at least had 15-20min screen time

Really? I loved the first one. They’ve gone rapidly downhill since then. But the first one (at the time) was unlike anything I had ever seen. If you don’t mind me asking, when did you see the first one?

Matrix was a boring pile of garbage which just kept getting worse with each instalment.

Imagine comparing this new pile no one asked for with a bunch has beens and never will bes with marvel’s hot property spiderman.

I’m not an actress but I think if I were and I could have I definitely would have done it LOL. In a way - especially since it was pretty predictable this was gonna flop - a small role is best because you can always say you were part of THE Matrix franchise but obviously no blame is coming your way for it’s nonperformance at the BO.

Oh God

I will be honest. I don't watch much HW. So i had ZERO idea..

i thought these two are like in same league..which is why i booked Matrix 4 tickets 5 days in advance coz Spiderman was houseful since a month and i had to really struggle with seats..

but to my surprise i thought i will be watching a houseful movie with cheers (like spiderman) but it was me and 4 other people in the cinema..

It is then i realized that Matrix is not quite what PC has been shouting in interviews..and then there was no report on collections at all while spiderman broke records..quite an eye opener..PC was acting as if she got a role in spiderman..

White validation complex.

They wouldn't acknowledge or promote a cameo in BW.

Anil Kapoor also went nuts for that Tom Cruise movie.

The Matrix movie had a legacy and no one knew that the new instalment would flop. It shouldn't have been made in the first place. But ya PC will benefit in the way that she got one step forward in mainstream Hollywood.

Only those who have seen all of the Matrix films will understand that a hit-or-miss role cannot be compared to Sati's role.

I think people forget that the original Matrix released in 1999. There was nothing, literally nothing, like it in US movies before that. It was groundbreaking. It isn’t fair to judge the original against all the stuff that came after. In fact some of the stuff that came after may never have been greenlit at all if Matrix hadn’t opened the door. Tobey Maguire Spiderman came in 2002, Ironman which really launched the Marvel universe didn’t come out until 2008. So if you watched the Matrix after you have seen a few Marvel films I get why you were underwhelmed and all I can say is if you had been there watching it in a theater in 1999 it would have been a very very different experience.

Having said that I agree the sequels were all downhill and the Matrix 4 is 10% nostalgia and 90% meh. Even that doesn’t take away the impact and legacy of the original.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. Anyone who looked at how long it took to make, issues with the director, release date changes, and trend of return for both sequels would have predicted even without knowing about the pandemic or reading the non-script. I imagine the studio will be fine with some new complete set of Matrix DVDs but gossip has been this was a turkey for a long time.
