These are the levels of stardom as far as Bollywood is concerned.

Obviously good movies will be good successes.

In 90s Aamir was not even in the league of Sunil Shetty. Not even a star.

In 2000s he had four movies with some good script. Unfortunately no credit should be given to directors. Did he even direct Taare Zameen Par or stole the credit there as well? Finally became a star because of Raju Hirani, who resurrected Sanjay Dutt.

Sunil has never given an HGOTY or ATBB the way Aamir gave HGOTY Dil and ATBB Raja Hindustani.

Why should directors get credit when Gowariker was a flop director and no one was agreeing to produce Lagaan except Aamir? Rakesh Mehra flopped with Aks but Aamir gave superhit RDB with him.

Amusing how films of others are credited to actors while films of Aamir have been credited to directors or someone else.

Sunil being bigger than any Khan in 90s is a joke. He was even behind Ajay and Govinda.

It is just trolling to ignore success of Ghajini and first Indian film to cross 100 crore and claim Hirani made Aamir a star.

Anyway some leagues ahead stars even had talent of giving super flop with Ashutosh Gowariker and brought him down after Oscar level success of Lagaan.

Aamir did produce, direct and act in TZP, gave BB with critical acclaim which Amole himself could not get with Stanley ka Dabba later. Amole ka dabba hi reh gya.

BTW did what happened to case against makers of RNBDJ for copying Baklol Dulha without buying its rights and giving original writer credit? 🤔

Khair I wish Hirani resurrects 'leagues ahead superstar' who has been in doldrums for lot of time now and puts some other digit besides 0. All the best. But then it is upto Hirani whether he repeats stars who gave him his first 200 crore, 300 crore grossers or risk his time resurrecting 0. Hope for the best. 😁

Only on this forum. Otherwise people in real life have moved on. Especially from the former who is only known for controversies nowadays.

The latter is atleast known through a top rated reality show.

Just some people trying to release pent up frustration of last 15 years or so. They know there is no way he will break any record as a solo lead now. He'd be lucky if he even manages to get a clean hit and prove he is still bankable.

Its hilarious how some SRK stans try to undermine Aamir's achievements and stardom. He has given success with the kind of movies the playing safe guys wont dare to attempt.
