Kapoor and Sons was easily one of the best movies of last decade - layered, sensitive, and poignant. It's premise was of a dysfunctional family but it was so much more - a depiction of homosexuality in an out-and-out mainstream film sans gay jokes and caricatures, a gentle take on infidelity, betrayal, love, and deceit. It wasn't the slightest bit predictable or boring, instead it blended entertainment with content in a very beautiful, sublime way.
Devastating on domestic atrophy, flawed people, rage that can barely find it's word, warring couples, gloom and glamour - it was an aggressively perfect movie.
