This movie is the the opposite of Sanju.... That one white washed SD and this one black-washed IAF..... Both are showing me the same nefarious agenda of bollywood....

I am sure Dadasaheb Phalke the father of Indian cinema must be crying wherever he is..... He wanted indian cinema to help indian economy not peddle lies and promote terrorist and bash defence forces.....

That's the point. Why are they talking now when like you said the film was already being promoted as the one with the first female pilot going to war and was being attributed to Gunjan Saxena alone? I mean the first poster of the film came almost a year ago. Even a small Facebook post by Sreevidya clearing that she too went to war and not Gunjan alone right when the film was announced would've cleared things out right? Leave the film, even before anyone knew about such a film was being made, every single article only mentioned Gunjan. Either Sreevidya or Namrit should've talked about it being unfair even then right? Like tina said, she couldn't find a single article about Sreevidya on the internet, how is that the makers fault that Sreevidya refused to comment about this misconception because she believed in gender equality back then? And if she didn't find it important clearing this misconception back then, why is she clearing it now?

One wouldn't have to watch the film to realize that it is only the biopic of Gunjan right and not Vidya?

But if they had spoken that time then you would've bashed them calling them attention seekers.... Also you would've said why don't you wait to watch the movie.... Maybe they thought that this is all just propoganda and movie will show truth as much as possible....

Also as Srividya said that she doesn't care for the credit as for her, she is an officer first then a female so it didn't matter to her if Gunjan takes the credit as long as they the truth as much as possible.... Now after seeing that they almost painted IAF black and spoke about fake climax scene and also an non-existent award, she felt she should speak up....

But all said and then, the real onus lies with the makers as they know the product well....

And how do you know that I would have bashed them? You know me personally?

Also there's NO MENTION OF ANY AWARD in the film or by Gunjan. You haven't even watched the film!!! It's pointless to debate with someone who hasn't even watched the film yet knows everything about it!

Every army in the world has their dark secrets. Now that Army is acceptable towards Women doesn't mean they were 20 years ago. In the end people working there are the same Indian men who disdain women everywhere. Army me rahe toh bhi mentality bhi wahi hogi naah.

And film me supportive army office bhi dikhaaye hain. Abhi koi khulke nahi bolega kyunki army ki ek reputation hoti hai. Par woh sab sach bhi ho sakta hai. And eventually film me bhi dikhayaa hain ki sabne unko accept kiya jab Gunjan ne prove kar ke dikhaya. Toh bad light kaise hua??

Also I don't get the fuss over the so called fake climax from SM warriors. It's literally out there on public domain much before the film was even being made that both Sreevidya and Gunjan were sent to Kargil mainly to evacuate wounded soldiers. You can see in the Ndtv videos how their helicopter was unarmed and Gunjan was only carrying one assualt riffle. It's also there in the public domain that once Gunjan, by sheer luck dodged a bullet from the Pakistani army.

Now for crying out loud, can anyone please tell we what else was shown in the film's climax except for this??? Was she shown turning into Tiger Shroff or Rajnikanth and punching and kicking the Pakistani army? Or was she shown turning into a wonder woman and dodging bullets with her armour? Or was she shown bitting the bullets with her teeth ala Rajni style and kicking the opponent into thin air in a jiffy? The climax shows her going to war in a support helicopter with her senior in another, dodging a missile and then saving her wounded senior, evacuating him and bringing him back to the base. How is it different from what we already knew from before? Was it dramatic- obviously YES, it's the freaking CLIMAX of a film that was supposed to release in the THEATRES! But I still don't get how it is fake if we compare it to all the interviews that Gunjan has given including the NDTV one.

Not talking about Sreevidya or anyone related to the forces here but I'll tell you what's the actual problem with many SM warriors are regarding this controversy? That it's made by Kjo. The problem is Kjo, not Gunjan Saxena. Half of the people haven't even watched the film yet they are blindly talking about things that aren't even mentioned in the film and blaming Kjo for it. They will HAVE to find a link between Kjo and some mafia and prove that he is anti national even if that link is non existent. I swear if tomorrow he makes a film showing everything positive about the army even then some people will find some fault and call him anti national. Because their problem is Kjo, not the film. I don't even give a damn about Kjo, maybe he deserves it for what he has done all these years and karma is biting back but at the same time it's evident that half of the SM warriors don't even care about Gunjan Saxena or IAF given people on twitter have already started talking bad about the real Gunjan after this interview came out. Koi doodh ka dhula nahin hai, sab ek hi thaali ke chatte batte hai.

When you take creative liberties to malign the image of a reputable revered institution of Armed forces and it's officers in the process of glorifying Gunjans triumph, it is a problem.

Moreover Gunjan and Sreevidya both trained toerher with other officers so they would hBe gone through the same experience. However when you show that only one had miserable experiences and only one flew into Kargil, by omitting the existence of the other woman who actually flew in first then it says how much liberty they gave taken .

Both released in 97. Both superhits. But no one can question that Madz was nothing award worthy in DTPH. And to give her an award in same year...
