Because Armed forces need to be protected and respected. Each n every country does that and must do that.. Including citizens.
Its only in India that one can get away by portraying them in a flimsy way.. In the name of creative freedom, freedom of expression and what not.. Forgetting that they deserve the credit for the very freedom u enjoy.
And again.. M not saying she didnt face it.. Till Gunjan and the other woman joined it was n all Men's organisation.. Was suited to their way of living. It changed over due course ya? Thats the beauty.. That we evolve and change.
People who want to remain stuck in that mindset will never progress and wont be able to see progress.. Their loss
Wait.. If you are open to the possibility that she did face this discrimination then why opposed to showing it??
How is this "stuck in this mindset" if it actually happened. The movie is not saying ki the forces is still the same. It is showing what happened during that particular time.
Again maybe it didn't happen and all this is an exaggeration. But your argument is that ok it might have happened but why talk about it bec we have evolved
By that logic, no woman or any person should talk about their past difficulties and issues. Let's not shake the blissful utopia we are living in.
PS: no we are not the only country where freedom of expression is guaranteed against the forces. Movies having scathing commentary on armed forces are made around the world.
