And again.. M not saying she didnt face it.. Till Gunjan and the other woman joined it was n all Men's organisation.. Was suited to their way of living. It changed over due course ya? Thats the beauty.. That we evolve and change.

People who want to remain stuck in that mindset will never progress and wont be able to see progress.. Their loss

Wait.. If you are open to the possibility that she did face this discrimination then why opposed to showing it??

How is this "stuck in this mindset" if it actually happened. The movie is not saying ki the forces is still the same. It is showing what happened during that particular time.

Again maybe it didn't happen and all this is an exaggeration. But your argument is that ok it might have happened but why talk about it bec we have evolved

By that logic, no woman or any person should talk about their past difficulties and issues. Let's not shake the blissful utopia we are living in.

PS: no we are not the only country where freedom of expression is guaranteed against the forces. Movies having scathing commentary on armed forces are made around the world.

Acrually, armed forces should be subjected to MORE scrutiny, not less, because they ARE expected to be better than the general public.

Same as the police.

Same as politicians.

It is mind-bogglingly short-sighted to suggest otherwise.

In Florida, cops get double prison time for same crime as civilians.

I m saying she may have faced difficulties.. Like they say teething troubles..she may have felt uncomfortable too.. But according to what fellow officers r saying it was not whats shown in the movie.. Movie depiction is n exaggeration..

There is a provision to file a complaint in case u face any sort of injustice or discrimation ya? Like something of n internal inquiry?

Anyways I have learnt not to take movies as gospel of truth. For a long long time I believed in eternal love stories of Salim - Anarkali and Jodha - Akbar.. Then woke up to the possibility that they may have been non existent😆

They won't win because they'd have to prove discrimination didn't exist. Given the nature of humans, it would be impossible not to have happened. Not the same as what was shown, but the IAF would have to show there was zero chance.

That's why the political pressure.

True. With movies you can't be sure which agenda they are promoting. So everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

It was like my childhood wild dream to be a IAF pilot. smiley36 so i love movies about females in the forces. There are so few of them. i really wish both sides are transparent and honest - movies in their depiction and forces in accepting its criticism.

Sorry to butt in. But just want to address the bolded part.

@Bold: Provision is there doesn’t mean it’s availed. In the Army there is an unsaid rule about never complaining about your fellow officers. It’s not taken lightly.

I did hear one senior journalist pointing out threadbare factual inaccuracies in the movie. Yes, I do agree and I know the sequence of events in the Kargil war. I have never denied it or claimed otherwise. Why would anyone? It is creative license, which is certainly not with me but with the makers of the movie. But the intention of the movie was to inspire people to chase their dreams with hope and positivity, the way I chased mine. The entire storyline was based on the theme of my journey, how my dreams became reality.

I do not need sermons from anybody for my knowledge or the lack of it as far as the Armed Forces are concerned. Whatever little I have attained, both on the personal and professional front, is from the IAF.

The rest, I leave to your good judgement and fine wisdom.

Howcome she says whatever lil she has attained is bcoz of the organisation and yet she had no issue with the way it was portrayed.Yes by showing the officers like that they actually mocked the whole organisation.

Wow the attitude is pathetic..so under creative license other party can be shown in any light I don’t care I should be shown as a hero. Its all about I Me Myself. The whole heroism of hers is shown by pulling down the other party. So nah Gunjan u again disappointed.👎🏼
