Your interpretation of karma can be easily used to justify the class divide. The migrant workers got the problems in life due to their karma. Sonam is enjoying riches due to her past karma. 👏

Coming to the reason Sonam is receiving flak: she's alluding to her being born as Anil's daughter was her good karma. You seriously want to support that foolish thought?

other than this is most ignorant comment have u read of the explanation in my reply.

I completely believe in the concept of Karma.

Yes, Sonam must have done something to be this (in)famous. But she can't forget that people hating on her & disliking her behavior is also the fruit of her Karma. She can not pick & choose there, but accept it.

Concept of Karma is incomplete without mentioning free will. Simply putting a regular student has a choice to study or play & that will decide his result. One can not always control external factors. Now Sonam must have done something to earn her Kapoor tag, but her free choice is whether to rub it in people's faces to feel superior or be humble & use her stature to uplift others. Intention behind any action matters the most.

According to Bhagwat Gita, the book that states the ultimate truth, what Sonam is saying is correct. I even believe that we can be born as an animal in our next birth depending on our deeds.

the thing is you can't pick and choose on what you believe and use it when it suits you. The karmic things are not as simple as one might think...

The first thing in spirituality is to know that nothing is permanent what you have, what you are it can be taken away in a second so never take pride or be shameful of what you have or not have... Sonam is just saying things which she doesn't even understand as always.

according to krishana when a sound accumulates good karma he will be born to those who has wealth(which is accumulated by nobel means) and knowledge by which the said soul will know that the wealth even in at the it's best is just maya and will spend it for greater good then from that point the soul will start it's spiritual journey.

So if sonam thinks it was her good karma... Then ideally she should know this too but as far as I can see she is not... And by her logic and by her this janam ke karam she should be really afraid of her next rebirth. Because she is forgetting the first rule of everything nothing lasts forever.

It was her past life's karma that made her Anil Kapoor's daughter. Wonder what this life's karma will make her next birth? She should be more concerned about that.

Also, makes me feel bad for Anil Kapoor. What karma has he done to deserve such an arrogant and compassionless daughter? And, myself. What karma have I done that I have to see her ill informed opinions on everything under the sun inspite of not being her follower or fan?

It's a common mechanism to cope with grief. It's not a mechanism to justify the unfairness, bias, escape from crime or key to entitlement. In fact the moment you brag about being entitled for good karma, you might ensure you're going to pay for that in the next context. For Sonam's case, it might be in next birth. Who knows. So Ms.Sonam, if you're born as a donkey in next birth, don't complain and don't forget to attribute it to Karma.👎🏼

The Bhagwad Gita does say that your karma decides what you will be doled out.

But it also says that focussing on material wealth and comforts and leading a selfish, self obsessed life is not the aim of life.

Human life is precious. And if you have been blessed in your life, then it is important not to waste it on frivolous pursuits. It has to have more meaning than simply living like an animal who eats, mates and dies.

A blessed life obtained by good karma should not be wasted by making claims that 'I have a right to enjoy it' rather should be used to fulfill duty, which is again, not for making one feel good about self, but rather to be dedicated to God

And finally, judging someone saying 'he is suffering because of poor karma' is not your duty. The cycle of karma is often complicated. Your duty as a human being is to help anyone you can.

Karma is a concept introduced for human beings to always do good, even if they don't see any immediate fruit. Or a concept to threaten a powerful man, who can't face any obstacles by his victims.

(A poor person helping others; even if his deeds are not celebrated, he will have a better birth. A criminal; even if he is unpunished because he is unchallenged, he will be taken care of by god in his next janma).

It was not created for elites to gloat on their birth. But you can't help it. Every concept gets misinterpreted.

A teacher was doing a demonstration. He put a worm inside water. It lived. He put it in alcohol. It died. He asked the class, what did they understand. Student replied, germs inside the tummy will not get killed by water. But they die, when you take alcohol.

Who is wrong? Concept or the interpretation?
