Karma does make sense to justify intangible things ...

Like why certain ppl are born under certain circumstances..no one knows

It’s in no way to malign anyone or say “u see screwed this is he bad luck”..Luck is reversible with hard work imo...

Note that ppl born with a silver spoon could have other areas they struggle with...

Work towards changing the things u don’t like about ur life, don’t compare and ask “why me” there is no answer to that

We aren’t the ones to decide who deserves what. There is a higher entity for that. we can decide our happiness and the actions we take to achieve it. Can’t control someone else’s life

Should you stop going to work because everything is predestined? Should all of us go into meditation ignoring the crap that is happening in front of our eyes all the while thinking karma will take it's course? Of course not.

I can't believe we're in 21st century.

Who said karma means not going to work

This is most ignorant comment

At least read what others are saying

Some people are born into rich families while some people are born in poor families .... Some people though born in rich families yet aren't truly happy while some poor people are happy in small small things .... Why this distinction happens ? It's believed because of karma .... Otherwise god doesn't differentiate between people right. This is discussion all about.

We are all creating karma every minute, and the karma we create affects us every minute. It’s common to think of “my karma” as something you did in your last life that seals your fate in this life, but this is not Buddhist understanding. Karma is an action, not a result. The future is not set in stone. You can change the course of your life right now by changing your volitional (intentional) acts and self-destructive patterns.”

I guess, Sonam was talking about fate misusing the term Karma.

Despite having Rishi Kapoor as his father, Ranbir had a traumatic childhood. To kaunsa Acha karma. Being priveleged doesn't result from good karma.

You can be poor/underprivileged but can still bear fruits of good karma.

This is absolutely true.

Of course ya in this lifetime what we do counts as karma but here we were talking about past life karma. There is law of free will but law of karma exists. A lot of criminals get away from crime because of money in their pockets but the the truth is they get away because of their karma and once it's good karma from past is over nobody can save u.

I do believe in karma but I believe we get our karma good or bad in this life only not in next life.

I believe in Karma, but I dont believe in the concept that Karma from your past birth will bear its fruit in your present or next birth. If that is what it is, then it is very flawed according to me.

IMO, If I have done something wrong in this birth, I should be punished in this life itself. At least then I have a choice to reflect on my mistakes and correct my actions. I can repent for my wrongdoings and try to improve. If I still dont learn from my mistakes, then Karma can take even harsher course.

If I am suffering right now because of past life actions, how am I supposed to repent not knowing what wrong I did. So in that case God is being unfair by not giving you a choice to correct your actions and be a better human being. In that case it becomes an endless cycle of bad Karma

Jo kiya hai abhi issi janam mein bhugto..

But this is also true and I have seen some horrible human beings around me who are leading a very carefree and comfortable life. But I would like to believe that at some point in their life they would pay for their deeds.

Maybe my comment is the most ignorant. But please take a moment to reflect on what you posted in the topic:

Whatever blessings we receive in life is based on our karma only right.

Your interpretation of karma can be easily used to justify the class divide. The migrant workers got the problems in life due to their karma. Sonam is enjoying riches due to her past karma. 👏

Coming to the reason Sonam is receiving flak: she's alluding to her being born as Anil's daughter was her good karma. You seriously want to support that foolish thought?
