So why are we bashing Sonam ?

Whatever blessings we receive in life is based on our karma only right.

No, there is no evidence for this poorly defined concept of Karma. It is a comforting belief that has no empirical basis as of now. Beliefs are not truth. Models are not truth. Even Science in not the truth but a reasonably reliable approximation of truth that can be tested, repeated and is falsifiable.

Not really, I've seen many bad people get a lot of good things. Many rapists, murderers even who are blessed in certain ways.

So then why is she going around spreading her gyan on stuff like ‘I am a Hindu and I am ashamed of it’ bla bla bla...? If everything is Karma, then why fight for the wrongs doings of the people...Its all Karma, isn’t it?

We all have our own destinies based on out past actions and deeds. Everything happens as per God's will and he does full justice, you may be able to see it or not.

Sushant had to die like this. The reason for his death has created a lot of anger in public that forced public to go against star kids and Bollywood Mafia.

Look at Karan's KWK show, it's for back biting and putting others down. Why do they have to do things like that? Their own insecurities and sick minds.

I am not an expert on Hinduism. So pardon me if I am incorrect. From what I have read about karma, it is when:

1. the deeds of one lifetime influence someone's fate in the next lifetime.

2. Or when the deeds done in the past determine one's fate in the future of one particular lifetime.

I don't believe in no. 2 at all. Because there are many criminals who do terrible things but don't face the repercussions of their actions during their lifetime. Some of them in fact lead a life of luxury up until their death.

As for no. 1, I am iffy about it. Because fully believing in it would also mean believing in reincarnation, a concept which no one can tell if it's true or not. Some believe poor people are born into poor families because of their bad deeds in the previous lifetime. But even if this is true, it doesn't justify any caste/class based discrimination they face in the world.

Finally at the cost of sounding preachy, I would like to add that religion and faith should remain a very personal thing. It's sad that people have still not learnt to mind their own business and instead try to dump their religious beliefs on others. (I am speaking in general, not trying to target anyone)

No, many people don't believe it. It's the term which has been misused in the past. You can't put others down by saying it's your Karma. Some sections of Society has been oppressed I'm the past , by other sections who misused this term.

If someone is born poor and if we say it's their Karma, then many people won't even touch them. That's not how society should be.
