There is no such rigid criteria for Queen of Bollywood. It's your own interpretation.

So you're saying one cannot be number one without being a good actress? (Since Katrina has no acclaim or awards). Ridiculous.

Awards/acclaim/BO/endorsements all of them eventually culminate in popularity and that's why popularity is the best benchmark for who is number one.

Silk Smitha or Kimi Katkar were never bigger than the number one actresses of those times. Just like Sunny Leone today cannot be considered bigger than Deepika or Alia.

Most successful in terms of what ? Please elaborate, please be clear on that.

In terms of box-office Deepika Padukone > Katrina Kaif > Kareena Kapoor > Priyanka Chopra

Acting Priyanka Chopra > Deepika Padukone = Kareena Kapoor.

Popularity , All were quite popular for some time.

Are awards to counted ??? People discredit them. Then again people discredit critics and box office.

Deepika had 4 HITs in 2013, she followed up winning Best Actress in early 2014. Her popularity was sky high. And she had signed Bajirao Mastani. That made her the undoubtable Number One.

Even though Alia Bhatt won the award in early 2017 for Udta Punjab (2016) and she had other successful films at the time 2016-2017, she didn't quite topple Deepika, she only matched her. Plus DP still had Padmavati that was coming soon.

In 2018, with Raazi, Alia soared ahead. The film done amazing business, and Alia's performance was better than Deepika's, and hence she won the Best Actress award and cemented her position as Number One, not to mention Gully Boy which released around the same time.

2007 is when Kareena Kapoor became the Number One. Priyanka Chopra briefly held the title at the end of 2008 going into early 2009.

Vidya Balan was Number One in 2011-2012.

interesting point of view. But filmfare awards are not at all credible anymore. And you don’t need to win one to be validated as a top actress any more. Let’s see, alia has won awards for the past few years as best actress, but please spare me if her popularity was any near close to katrinas.
If we are talking about stardom as a measure of success, Katrina is up there alongside deepika who have had continuous hype to their names for years
If we are talking about acting as a measure of success, vidya balan is a clear measure. She has also maintaned a league of her own when it comes to it.

I think PC and Kareena.

PC got to do some out of the box characters(for a mainstream A list actress like in barfi, Marycom etc)..add to that her longevity,international popularity and contribution in other fields (like producing n promoting regional movies, uniceff goodwill ambassador etc) make her success commendable.

Kareena...the fact that she is an A lister even in her 40 is amazing.. even after marriage, even after having kid, she is going strong ...she may not be the first actress to do so(since i have seen a lot of arguements over this) but still its really commentable.

DP and Kat..they were just the No.1 bollywood actress at the peak of their career like all other no.1 actresses in the past..nothing extra ordinary.

But than again you always made claims like Katrina wasn't considered hot or beautiful until Shiela ki Jaawani. So I can say one thing, since Katrina broke the so called criterias required for your fictional Queen moniker, so you are hell bent on making her some sort of only sex symbol, who was never a top star.😆

In terms of success in monetary value or purely on star power it should be Katrina, people did come to watch movies just to see her in her prime. It has nothing to do with her acting skills - because she was/ is and will always be an actress with very limited skill sets - a Babita Kumari or Jazz here and there aside..she is no great shakes in pulling off complex roles like the one in Fitoor.

Kareena next, because again she has given so very many flops and still continued to be an A lister - that is saying something..also her Poo and Geet are plain legendary..arguably the most popular female characters of the last decade, in terms of recall value and being masses darling - you can gauge that by how many people still do Tiktoks on these characters.

DP ruled the roost officially in 2013 with CE and RL - after that I really dont think she is the no 1 actress or anything..she lucked out with SLB casting her for two big movies - thats about it..

PC - I put her last in this list, because she really has worked hard to be an incredible actress and she is probably my favourite from the 4 in terms of acting skills - Barfi - enough said..but today she has no star power in BW IMO, I dont think she is going to be super successful or anything.

Is gas-lighting your kink? I said I personally did not find her attractive until Sheila Ki Jawani. Before that she reminded me of Kunika.

No one here has denied she is a super star. I think she's a bigger star than Alia even today. She has more charisma and mystique and sex appeal than her and all the newbies put together: Sara, Janhvi, Ananya etc.
