Ranbir, Ranveer and Varun are 3 of the top stars in today's generation.
Ranbir is an outstanding actor IMO and he has a very polished on-screen persona. The best part about him is he plays each role with so much conviction. He is never repetitive and gets into the skin of each character. He fleshes out each character with a lot of thought. He played Sanju to perfection and really dug deep to find out who he was. He was also excellent in Tamasha and Barfi.
Ranveer is versatility incarnated but to me he is still behind Ranbir. He is yet to shed who he is completely in each role, at times you see him slipping into similar mannerisms on-screen. He is of course very talented and to me, he is more a star of the masses than Ranbir. But in acting talent, he is behind Ranbir, even though he had 2 huge hits in padmavat and Simba recently. He has charisma, mass appeal and a lot of energy, but to match Ranbir's level of acting he still needs to work harder.
Varun is a bonafide star, with a very likeable off-screen personality and a down-to-earth persona. He has tremendous mass appeal, like Ranveer, and to me he and Ranveer are both big stars. In acting, i think he is behind Ranbir and Ranveer and yet, he performed beautifully in badlapur and October. I thought his best role till date was October. What acting! He just carried the film on his shoulders, and was edgy in parts and sensitive in others. What an arc! I loved the subtlety and restraint he embodied. He has huge potential and will go places.
