Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi managed to do well on its second Saturday and Sunday for a fair total of 13.50 crore nett over the second weekend. This takes the ten day total to 70 crore nett which is decent. Actually the film is pretty if looked at the point of view that it is just a solo Kangana Ranuat starrer. The only issue is the cost is high compared to other Kangana Ranuat film and other female driven films.

The drop on the second Friday hit the film as if the film had grown the way it has from a higher second Friday number then this film may have chances of being an outright HIT. The film has not done well in Mumbai especially Gujrat as these films have to work in the two big circuits because of limitations in smaller centres of female driven films.

As these films struggle to open in the smaller cities there is always a limit to how much they can pick up. The bigger cities can pick up far more. The collections of Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi till date are as follows

Week One - 56,56,00,000

Friday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 4,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 6,00,00,000 apprx

Second Weekend - 13,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 70,06,00,000 apprx

The film can do business in the 85-90 crore nett range which will be decent and better than the likes of Veere Di Wedding, Satyameva Jayate and Padman in terms of collections. The second week will return higher figures than all those films.

Sye Raa is going to be released in Hindi as well. As we have already seen in the recent past that the movies based on the historical theme are ending up as failures. The recent example of this is Manikarnika which is the story of the Queen of Jhansi.

Yet only an 85-90 crores lifetime, that too if it holds well! THIS is what people are doing a kumbaya dance for? Comparing with female oriented movies that released on 1000-1500 screens.

I am pretty sure BOI has had a "good collection as well😉 . Roping in Zee was the best move Kamal Jain made.

Expecting 3+ cr on monday

As predicted , 2nd week will make 25+ cr and with no release next week, it will help the movie make more money

for those who r saying Priyanka Chopra would hv been a better choice..i beg to differ, she was strictly average in mary kom and a total downer in Jai Gangaajal... besides she looks too manly for the part..

coming to complaining abt Manikarnika, i am really sorry but i don't think they couldn't have taken the risk to make this film sort of a great historical piece. They had to adapt the story by bollywood standards and present it as an action blockbuster..which is why KL Vijendra Prasad of Baahubali fame was hired for the project. And the action scenes, they target mainly to the male audiences, how much of female audiences enjoy such movies in the theaters. Padmaavat didn't have any female action. If Manikarnika was targeted only towards women, it would have been bombed, still they held the feminine touch of the film in the best way possible.

at the end, its your opinion whether u like the movie or not. That's understandable. But i can totally understand the producers and makers point of view while making this film, it could have become a bigger mess but thankfully it came out good well according to me atleast

no trade site is calling it a flop..worst scenario now is average..which itself is a win situation here considering the budget and the fact almost everyone was dissing the movie from the word go

in a way..it gives confidence to makers to invest such big numbers on a movie solely riding on the female lead..

with ek ladki's disastrous BO..and open weeks till gully boy..and only competition being URI..i think it can comfortably hit a 100..which may end up making it a semi hit..

also the movie has been sold to distributors at 65-70..and verdicts are given based on loss/profits to distributors..who are safely making profits here..

same reason how a houseful 3 was a clean hit at 100cr with budget of 100cr..it is price sold to distributors which determines verdict
