Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role as Rani Laxmibai released on 25th January, 2019. The film is an historical drama based on the life of Rani of Jhansi, Laxmibai, who fought a fierce battle against British. The film saw good hold on Monday

Manikarnika collected around Rs. 5.10 crore at the box office on its 4th day and took total to Rs. 47.65 Crore. The film has also released in tamil and telegu languages in India and 50 Countries Worldwide. Manikarnika overseas collection so far is around 12.00 Crore and took worldwide collection to Rs.69.29 Crore It remains to be seen how much the film can retain its collection on weekdays

According to her PR a movie with 125cr budget is not only a hit but has made 20cr profit with a business of 47cr...

Obviously the would have recovered at least 40-50 % of it through satellite , digital rights.
2.0 was made with 400 cr plus budget but it recovered almost 3/4th or more through satellite digital rights...

So the rest needs to be made up and most likely based on box office it would looking at the positive WOM

Film verdicts are given strictly on domestic box office collection.
Or else secret super star is a blockbuster thanks to Chinese collections.


If digital rights, tv rights, music rights, satellite rights are considered then almost no movie will be given a flop tag. Yes the producers may make money but the distributors will lose money.

If digital rights, tv rights, music rights, satellite rights are considered then almost no movie will be given a flop tag. Yes the producers may make money but the distributors will lose money.


but that's how the economics work

almost 40% average is recovered through satellite rights and digital rights and the rest need to be made and based on positive WOM , its getting there. 42.50 plus 11cr international with monday gettng 5+ cr...you never know and its only been 4 days and with good positive WOM...
