By this logic race3 is a blockbuster cause the satellite rights and domestic collection alone is 290cr against a 160cr budget

I'm not even counting the tv rights m, music rights and worldwide collection


I know you all want manikarnika to work but this is literally grasping at straws.

LOL are we really spinning how THEATRICAL verdicts work now? In that case, Thugs of HIndostan is a mega-blockbuster. Got $30 million USD from the Chinese distributors upfront! 😆

It doesn't work that way. Film verdict depends on if everyone in the chain makes profit. So if distributors end up in a loss movie will be a flop.

Unless, he got a terrible deal in which all the money he'll get is from the theatrical run. In which case, he might be screwed.

tina59 ji, movie has to make at least 82 to 88 cr for any recovery.
just hope for that number for now.

like I said, all parties involved in this mess gotta own it up.
when you have a budget of 100cr +, for any movie, the whole team have to surrender themselves and work hard to deliver their best. they have to work as a team, be it the director, the actors, technicians, etc.

kangana might walk away with another award for her splendid performance. she again proves that when it comes to acting, she is the champ!

BUT, we all want to see the producer recover his cost as well, or else bahut naa insaafi hogi. I watched the movie, sorry to say, movie as a whole kinda disappointed me. lack of depth in the movie, it only works in parts, which is not acceptable. some tv serial artists pop up, dear lord, mercy.
who ensemble the cast for this movie surprises me.

lesson should be learnt . when you commit yourself in any project, big or small, please do not screw up., be it an actor or director!
keeping fingers crossed it recovers its cost at least.

I think, it's not a single distributor, right? Like, Anil thandani might have distribution rights for Mumbai and someone else for Delhi etc. So, if movie is hit in one circuit but flops in another, thn it will be an average or below average or something like that. And Thandani might have 10 sub- distributors. So, maybe 5/6 out of those 10 shd turn a profit for it to be considered a hit in Mumbai.
