Just got done watching the film. Detailed review tomorrow but all that I can say is, I personally feel an icon like Lakshmibai deserved a much better biopic. A very half hearted, average attempt at giving tribute to such an icon of the nation. Terrible VFX. Lousy direction and cinematography, one of the weakest ensemble in a BW film in recent times, a very inconsistent performance by Kangana and a W*Fish ending.

SPOILER BELOW:

Jhankari Bai opening her pallu and breaking into a Chikni Chameli like item dance with Lakshmibai joining in ?Lakshmibai dying with hands spread like Jesus and fire turning into Om? Lakshmibai becoming Padmaavati by the end of the film?

W*F Man, WHAT THE ACTUAL f**k??!! 🤣

Why can't Bollywood ONE decent historical with a good storyline???

Just got done with movie. Fantastic is an understatement when it comes to Kangana's performance. I had goosebumps in several portions of the movie. Not once has Kangana delivered a false note.

However, the only problematic part about the movie are the songs and the length. Otherwise everything is in top form. Well done Kangana. Take a bow. 👏

The collections will be the highest single day ever for a female driven film but that is mainly because its very unlikely these films get a chance to have a release when there is a national holiday

But BOI hardly gives such excuses when male start break records. In fact all their records are due to festivals or other holidays. Blehh

Saw the movie today. What a brilliant performance by Kangana. It will take some one like Deepika 10 lifetimes to reach to her excellence. 😆

Kangana is truly an artist in every sense of the word.

anupama liked kangs performance. even sucharita. masand/komal ko leave...jiska jab chaatna hota hai vahi.😆

distortion toh pehli baar hua hai history ka na. khilji bheem bann jaye toh no problem.plastic ostrich sabha mein ghume toh no problem.😉 even that film was same release day no? holiday...26th jan.

like i said...coffin banane ka mood ho...toh nails leke baith jaate hai.😆

avoid them. dekha maine. republic day holiday pe no kaam kaaj baithe baithe manikarnika ke thread pe negative reviews dena...and hoping someone like pc did it😆. anything will do. heights.

IKR 😆... All those critics they're missing so badly... reviews were posted in earlier pages but they don't have time to check. And instead of complaining, khud wapas kyun nahin post Kar dete. 😆

Regardless of what they thought critically of the movie, each one of them hailed her performance!

This won't be the first nor last time a mixed reviewed film will set BO on fire. 😆

Go Kangana! Enjoy this commercial weekend! It came nearly after 4 years! You deserve EACH BIT! ⭐️ 👏

Ain't Anupama and Masand gave 3/5? May be they didn't loved it but 3/5 is positive review/rating. Komal didn't liked it so much and that's okay. All critics are not going to like/love it.
