There is NO way Ranveer doesn't Deserve the best actor award this year!

I saw most of Sanju as well(Before you guys start pointing fingers at me)

BUT, Ranveer was BEYONDDD amazing and out of all leagues in Padmavati! He was plain OUTSTANDING!

No competition, Im sorry!

Ranveer and DP were monotonous in Padmavat! Took a while to realise it wasn't Bajirao cuz they were giving me such hangover vibes.

IMO...SLB destroyed the characters of Khilji and Padmavati single handedly...Ranveer and Deepu were both terrible...Veeru was OTT and hammed his way through the movie while Deepu was glassy eyed for most part except for the last 15 mins...so no disagree with you.

Ranbir's performance as Sanju is miles ahead...best performance of the year...but yeah Veeru can get all the paan masala gutka award...because I don't care for these awards...even if Biru wins...i wouldn't care.

I liked both Ranveer and Ranbir and enjoyed watching both movies.

But I do feel Veer put in a lot of effort to play the role of Khilji and I am so happy he won. This was an out and out negative role and in my opinion was difficult to play.

I saw some of the behind the scenes in which they showed how hard he has worked to get into the skin of this character.

Truth is, I was expecting Ranbir would get an award in the best actor category and Ranveer in the best actor in negative role category...but apparently they do not have separate categories.

I loved Sohum Shah in Tumbbad & Ayushman in Andhadhun. That's my preference.
I didn't watch Sanju. I did watch Padmaavat...thought Ranveer was too hammy & in the last scene, he looked like a sex-crazed monkey on steroids.

But I get why people think he deserves the best actor award - for the sheer amount of effort he put in. However considering his character was supposed to be menacing, he didn't give me the creeps - zero impact.
